Make a Ripple - Make a Difference

Greetings, Ripplemakers

Here's a story about someone who makes LOTS of ripples.

Helping Homeless Children
by
Marie Fucci

In this day and age you would think our government would think of away to help the homeless to have SAFE and PERMANENT HOUSING.  You sit in your living room saying to each other " I wish there was something I could do" .  There is but you just don't think that the little you can do won't make a difference but, guess what, Your WRONG every little act of kindness goes a long way.

Most of the homeless are families.  So if you look at this way .  If you can donate a couple of these items you might just help a homeless child to finish school.
Pens pencils note books (all different kinds)
crayons glue sticks loose leaf note book filler paper Most of which can be found at your local dollar store.  So for around $6.00 you could give
1 child what they need for the school year of learning.  As we all know education is the building block of good employment, Good employment leads to financial security eliminating homelessness.

So how proud could you feel to know that the one child you help today may never be homeless because you donated $6.00 worth of school supplies today.  And if everyone donated just $6.00 how many lives could be changed????  It is enough to blow your mind.  I don't have much but bringing one little bag of school supplies either to your local school or to your local food bank could make a world of difference in our world.  As you leave to go on summer vacation could you spare $6.00 to help one child get through a school year and not have to go with out.

Or maybe you would like to wait till school opens and go talk to the school maybe you could donate a little more and help one child to be able to go on a field trip for which promotes learning and gives the child something to look forward to. Some of the homeless children are forced to miss these trips due to lack of funds.
Can you help? Will you help?  The ball has now landed in your court what are you going to do with it?
