Going Visiting While Staying at Holme
by
Norma Liles

Living alone can be very lonely, for some people but not me~ I have so many people coming to pay a visit that sometimes, I just need to get off into another room to find a place to be by myself.

No, I haven't lost it altogether; just making a statement of fact.  You see, it is like this; you may have entertained angels unaware but I know that I entertain a lot through cyberspace.

I have this one darling niece whom I rarely see that meets with me almost on a daily basis from her perch in the state of Washington to my screen here in Ohio.  Then I have my friend, Dixie, who meets with me from her armchair in Missouri to give me her plans for she and her husband's day; the Hammonds..

Never could I tire of hearing from my Injun friend, Harry, who is the reigning King of Komedy in the Hammond household! Then we have my cousin, Fred, in California who is handicapped with Parkinson's but keeps me informed on our family's genealogy.  From there we move along his state to my friend who carries my name, Norma, constantly sending me reassurances of our friendship Moving on up the road a piece from her, we have my friend, Melbah who keeps me on my toes with her daily inspirational tracts.

From there, we may go along the waterways to my friend, Bette, who is originally from my home state of Ohio which lends interest and from there, we travel to southern Calif to San Marcos where my friend, Barb lives and keeps me informed of their travels and her writings.

We travel over to Georgia where my youngest daughter, Lori, lives; keeping me informed of my grandson, Zack's latest ventures on the computer to the neat things that her new baby girl, Katlyn, is learning. And then we travel a little more south of Atlanta to chat with my granddaughter, Melodi, who lives is Valdosta who checks to see if G'ma has a minute or two to spare for her.

We aren't done yet as we find my daughter, Cheryl,  beeping her instant messenger; to see if Mom is behaving; giving me the latest on what my son (her husband ~ my son only through love ~ not biological) and so you see, life for me is not lonely.

Life can be lonely if you wish it to be but if you, my friend, are a victim of cyberspace, you can only be lonely, if you wish to be!

Now, I have to squeeze in some time for my writings? Never let it be said that I ignored my most welcome newsletter from Starfish!  Heaven forbid!
