"How can that be, you
ask?" My answer is very simple; involve yourself in an
interest that you have always set aside while working
outside the home, rearing your children; following the
dictates of society to the point that your 'inner
person' became lost in the shuffle.?
In 2001, I began that
search for my inner person; not expecting to find any
'self'? other than what I surmised myself to be but I
was in for a huge surprise.
Following the death of a
close friend, my daughter surprised me with the gift
of her used computer as she had upgraded to a more
sophisticated model.? hmmm! Now what am I going to do
with this 'thing? I ponder.
To get beyond that point,
which I did, I found that had stories to tell and
poems to write. Granted, I had no idea that this part
of me existed.? I have talked to folks over the years
who knew that this was their calling but it had never
occurred to me that this was part of me, too.?
Since that time, I have
met many authors on line who have supported my naive
attempts at writing. I owe them a debt of gratitude
for their interest in my attempts but I am here to
tell you that if you allow yourself to explore that
inner child, you will be surprised at what you can
accomplish.?
I am by no means one of
your highly published authors but that is my dream.
Still dreaming at 75 years of age.? If Grandma Moses
can do it, why not me?
