I
love the colors of Christmas; the golds, the greens and the
reds; the holly and the mistletoe, the pretty dangling
bells, the pretty lighted candles, the angels and their
wings.
Oh yes, I love all this my friend, but deep in my heart I
love Jesus.
I
am so blessed that He made his appearance long ago in a
stable that night. The most glorious night that can ever
be, unless His return to take us up in the air.
You can take all the shiny new ornaments, the trees with
their trimmings so rare, but give me an old fashioned
Christmas when we could enjoy the simpler things of life.
If you just but would remember one thing, my friend, Jesus
was of lowly birth. He did not fashion His life to be rich
or how handsome His dress did appear.
He thrilled at the turn of a man from His sin; He gave sight
to the blind and much more. So when you think you are down
on your luck, remember we serve an awesome Savior and Lord
who has walked on this earth as a man.
Have a Merry, Merry Christmas singing the carols that we
love so well; the ones that remind us to be kind to one
another as Jesus has asked us to do. We must always remember
that we are celebrating the birth of the One, the One who
was born on Christmas Day.
