Storytime Tapestry Newsletter The newsletter devoted to spreading love and cultural
awareness throughout the world. Special Treat – Paula Booher "So Will We Or Won't
We?"
by
Paula Booher Thirty years have come and gone! Wow, it's hard to
believe. Just saying it takes me aback a bit. Can it possibly be
so? Where did the time disappear to and how did I possibly live
those years without Even noticing them Go by so quickly? One day I was
struggling to get through High School and daydreaming of What I would Do
"After" I got Out of those hallowed halls and now I'm so Far from
those days and the smells of that cafeteria and sounds of the basketball
games. Where has the time flown? I went to sleep one night and here
I am thirty years later with Grown children of my own. Impossible... If not for albums full of pictures tracking the events
I'd probly think I'd dreamed it all up. It's true. The mirror does
not lie. I'm Not the teenager that graduated from Morgan Co-R1 in 1976
from Stover, In school we were known as "The Roe girls", our
maiden name. Paula, Pauline, and Paul. My sister and brother are
twins and I was supposed to be a boy. The family wanted to have the name
Paul Dean Roe after our uncle who had died at 22 and when I was Not a
boy, (I've told this story before...(but for those who Don't know)...I got
named creatively then next time they got their boy and they needed a twin name to
match my brother and my sister was named Pauline Jean to match Paul Dean...I'm
Paula Deann. Some mistake us for triplets on paper. We don't
resemble eachother that much in person. Besides all being towheads as
children even our personalities didn't match up as children either. We're
all quite different. I tend to be bossy,(stems from our mother
putting me in charge at such an early age I would suppose), my sister is
meeker<( she was Always very timid and shy), and our brother was always in trouble
for one thing or another,(being the only male in a house full of females Who
knows why he was So roudy!...our parents divorced early on and our mother
worked ALOT). back to the point of This story... I'm planning our classes' 30 year reunion or I'm in the
process of it I should say. I have several different ideas of How to Do
this because time is of the essence since it is late in the year and it really
should have Already been Done and Over With! The problem is No one seems
to be interested in Doing anything about it and I was getting anxious about it
so I inquired and I was Right! Seems no one Is doing Anything and if
"I" don't perhaps No one Will! While in the shower this morning it dawned on me that I'm
involved with one of the greatest writing groups I could Ever hope to be
involved in and I Am a Writer. Why Not use the skills that God gave me
and put them to Good Use to help my cause here? Duh! I need to get
the Word out ASAP to those classmates involved that we Are having a Class
Reunion this year and now due to the Fact that Stover, Missouri is now on the
map due to the World Series Champions putting Stover, MO on the map last year I
could also enlist the help of the media somehow with the help of the
powers that be out there somehow. I was in the media for a time as a
local DJ here in It is by no coincidence that I am here at this particular
moment with this Working computer writing this story to whomever is reading
this story and God is laying a burden for that particular persons heart for me
on your heart to Do Something no matter how small or insignificant it may seem,
it counts. It may seem trite yet Do It! Whatever "IT"
is. No matter what...even if "it" is just telling someone else
about this, they could be the 'key' to whatever else happens down the
line. God speaks you just have to listen to that still small voice inside
of you and obey it. That's how things get done in The needs are as follows in this particular situation: ***A dinner at "The Extra Point bar and
resturant plus a 70's music street dance for the class of '76 for Our
30 year class reunion is what is planned. The people who graduated in the
class are as follows and need to be contacted immediately! & contact me
so we can set this up ASAP are: The potential date is set within the next 6 weeks
depending on how Soon we can contact as many people as possible.
It'll be on a Saturday evening in Stover of course on These addresses and phone numbers are from the 25th class
reunion that I had gathered. Not all these classmates were in attendance
nor did they respond and validate these addresses. I have no way of
verifying their correctness at this time. All help you can contribute is
much appreciated. Any suggestions are also appreciated to finding these
people at little or no cost as I'm on a fixed income from disability.
