Today’s announcements

To My Dear Friends...

I am writing to tell you all that my surgery went well... What I need now is a speedy recovery

Please keep that in your prayers! Also the doctor found that I have no cartilage left in my knee... but, Praise The Lord... the torn meniscus is repaired. Down the road I will need a full knee replacement. Hopefully much further down the road. Once I can start walking again

I can get stronger and get my weight back down which will be a great help.

Love to you all... and thank you for your prayers!

Now onto the good stuff!

Giddy Sam, Giddy You, Giddy Me
© 2006
Julie Jordan Scott

I look at Sam's giddy little face and I
can't help but smile. He has got to be
one of the cutest little guys ever to live
on this planet. There is no doubt
in my mind.

He is looking at me and smiling with his
entire body. Standing in the bathtub, holding
the soap dish, eight of his pearly white baby
teeth showing. He must be a little over
fourteen months when this was taken.

He has short hair, so it must be after September.
Prior to September he had lush, longish hair – but
people started mistaking him for a girl and I am
just old-school enough to not want my handsome
son being thought of as a girl, just like I
wouldn't want my girls taken as boys.

He is young enough that he doesn't want
to take control of my camera, something that
has gotten in the way of taken many decent
photos of him lately. I would need to buy
stock in disposable cameras to keep him
suitably occupied.

It is early morning, in summer, and Sam
is now five years old. This little Sam reminds
me of how fast time moves, especially when
we don't take the time to live each
moment fully.

I am in the midst of producing a television
commercial with a team of other leaders in
the theatre community. It was less than three
years ago that I agreed to take an acting class,
never thinking that within three years I would
be embarking on something like this.

It is a quick process, too – taking only short
Snippets of time over several days. My biggest
time commitment is what seems like an endless
barrage of telephone calls, conveying details to
actors and making sure everything is in place
for the shoot and then, post-production,
getting these commercials seen by viewers.

I am taking the time to really enjoy the process,
even as the tasks and jobs I have been given
stretch me outside my chosen space of comfort.
It is all good and different from what I would
normally do in the course of a given day.

Last night I had such a hard time to keep my
laughter from bubbling over during the shooting.
It was funny. I am a responsive audience member.
What can I do?

I clapped my hand over my mouth and bent my
body over to hold the sound inside. I think I amused
any of the actors who happened to notice, if nothing else.

My giddy self, closely matching my little
boy's giddy self. I hadn't noticed that before –
and that witness alone makes all of this
other stuff worth the journey.

Take a moment to witness your life today, not just
scurry through it. Listen, see, feel, touch your day
and the people sharing your day with you.

Activate Your Passion.

"TRANSFORMATION"

Mary Carter Mizrany

May our Lord speak
to your hearts with blessings today:-)

GOD  is NOT LIMITED ~ Oh, praise His name !
Today He has placed upon my heart the message ~ "I AM THE LORD,
I CHANGE NOT" !

Although our Father changes NOT ~ HE does CHANGE us from glory to glory. God never leaves us the same as when we first meet Him.
When we submit ourselves to the Lord; He begins changing
us.
"Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature:
old things are passed away;  behold, all things are become new."
II Corinthians 5:17

This new creature we are yearns to grow in grace.   Our
spirit is hungry for The Bread of Life.   We cannot be satisfied
with  only the  earthly  any longer.   Thus begins our journey
from  caterpillar to wondrous butterfly:-)

Just as when children are growing into teenhood, then adulthood; all sorts of changes are taking place. OH, some are so very PAINFUL.
They yearn for freedom at a certain age; yet, must they remain under the strong influence of  adults for a few more years.

A slow metamorphosis is taking place.  From an encapsulated cocoon (chrysalis) where formation & growth is taking place ~ to that glorious day
when emerges "THE CHANGE" ~ Hallelujah!
A beautiful & majestic butterfly :-)

Please remember this,  my precious ones, for
whom Father is orchestrating painful changes in your lives ~
SOMETHING BETTER is just around the corner for you!

"And we  know that all  things work together for good to them who
are  the called according to his  purpose."  Romans
8:28
This is God's WORD and HE NEVER makes MISTAKES !

Alcoholics Anonymous has quite a powerful prayer I have found so
so relevant in my own life.
" God ~ grant me the serenity to accept those things I cannot change ~ ~ ~
Courage to change the things I can ~ ~ ~
and WISDOM to know the difference ! "
A simple prayer ~ BUT ~ when answered, makes such a difference in our lives.

God does not change . . . however, He DOES change His
children.    And,  one of the most important means God
uses to transform is through the study of His Word.

"And be not conformed to this world:  but be ye transformed
by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what  is
that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God."
Romans 12:2

Let us study to show ourselves approved;  workmen who
need not be ashamed.    Allow  the Lord to rearrange our
lives for His will to be accomplished.

Sometimes folk are hesitant to submit themselves to God;
fearful He will require more of them than they are able to do.
Ahhhhh, remember . . . He is a loving Father.   Just as our
earthly dads want only the BEST for us; our Heavenly Father
is concerned with the least concerns we have.
He is all~powerful and all~knowing.    God is able to
keep that which we commit unto Him, against that day.
And, in the process,  grows us up:-)

Yes,  God  does not change:  but,  by grace He changes us!

FOR I AM THE LORD,
I CHANGE NOT; THEREFORE
YE SONS OF JACOB ARE
NOT CONSUMED. Malachi 3:6

GOOD FRUITS OR SOUR GRAPES

By: Joseph J. Mazzella

I have noticed something recently. I am not as angry as I used to be. I am not as grouchy either. I don’t complain nearly as much as I used to. I am not as worried or afraid as I once was.  I can’t think of anyone or anything that I really hate either. Now I don’t think it is because I have mellowed with age. Quite frankly, I am not that old yet. Besides I know people a lot older than me who are a lot grouchier. I also know people a lot younger than me who are already way more mellow than I will ever be. Maybe it is that I just don’t have as much room for those things inside me anymore. When life squeezes you what is on the inside comes out. If you are full of sour grapes then you will give the world vinegar. If you are full of good fruits then you will give the world orange juice. Maybe my good fruits are finally ripening while my sour grapes are dying on the vine. Maybe I am finally gardening my soul the way that God wants me to.

One thing I do know, however, is that the more you fill your heart, soul, and mind with love and thankfulness the less room there is for anything else. The more you love God, yourself, and others the less room there is for anger and hate. The more you thank God for your life and every good thing in it the less room there is for fear and worry. The more good fruits you plant and care for the less room there is for sour grapes in the garden of your life.

May you always fill your heart, soul, and mind with wonderful love and glorious gratitude then. May you always feel God’s perfect love hugging your heart and uplifting your soul. May you always be so full of the good fruits of love, joy, and thankfulness that not a single sour grape can be squeezed out of you. Remember, you are the gardener and your life is the harvest. Plant well, water often, and always invite others to the feast.

Serina has a career ahead of her in writing her life story.  I believe
it would be a number one seller.

Living with bi-polar is not easy and it is definately not easy for the
family.  Proper medication and education with a supportive family makes
one a new person, however off the medication all hell breaks lose.  That
is a cycle no family welcomes.

Mark Crider has written some nice words about me.  I want to write him but I don't have his email listing.  Please send when you get a minute.  Thanks.

Re: Bill Walker --

Bill writes that he's not a writer in the accepted sense of the word.  He's probably right.  I believe he's more than a writer.  He's a sage.  And a very good man.

Ron Gold

AH yes, "sage" is the utopic description for folks like Bill. I've known a lot of them in my years and have gained so much wisdom from them.

Maybe that's why I'm reflecting more as well as becoming more and more grouchy. Maybe "grouchy" could be a synonym for "sage" when one gains over sixty five years of observing the seemingly endemic stupidity our supposed leaders have exhibited in our lifetimes.

I'm thinking we may have to back up and study the Crusades again for todays strategies on this world problem. Europe solved their problem then, we should mirror that. Never argue with success. Right?
Thanks and Regards

The Auction by Roger Kiser: What a way to loose those precious fishing tools of yours; it saddened my heart.  What I didn’t get is if the officer finally purchased them for his use or no one had to pay for it later on since you made mention of him putting them in his trunk.
