Storytime Tapestry Newsletter The newsletter devoted to
spreading love and cultural awareness around the world. Today’s Queue Stories ~**~**~ THE WORLD PEACE WE YEN FOR (June 2006) GEORGEWATERS OJEIGBE – Our zeal for freedom and peace is mighty. We have done a
great recommendations to governments even though our yen and long for is very
simple; it is possible for us to have what we have longed for. We are
humans and we can decide on what we want for our beautiful planet earth.
Mostly, we are adults who have wisdom to reason what is good and what is evil;
and decide to follow peace with everyone; nations and races. There is a
BUT! Right from the day the first man and woman (ADAM & EVE)
failed the master, the world has never known peace and I am afraid it will
never, for as long as this old planet remains. The word ‘PEACE’ is always
for a short while, followed by the ‘uncalled for’ caused by us humans. I
could cry for millions who ungenuinely lost their lives in those traumic days,
I feel for them, I feel for the suckling babies that were killed even right in
the arms of their mothers, I feel for the mother who lost all her children, I
feel for the husband who also lost his families. What about an entire
race wiped out on their own land and what about the lost kingdoms? Peace,
peace, peace, but can the earth until it is renewed ever be fortified from
violence? Waking with the down in sorrows as the incidence of 9/11 is no
more news. Fortification is now the news. There have always been
two forces, the good and the evil; the light and the dark and the battle field
is the planet earth. Who bears the pains, the souls on this beautiful
world. The greed of one man enslaves the souls of millions. The
irony of it all is that the cone-men will all die to face the supreme court
that is much more than Hughes in The older the planet the more violent it becomes. Peace is
fast disappearing. Just for a moment, look around you. Check the
youths, check their morals. Even look into most churches; church that is
supposed to be the salt of nations, it is fast loosing its purpose; deviating
from the original message to preach peace, to tell the world of Jesus’
love. Instead its new aim is to hypnotize, configure; and program minds
of faithful through a slim line labeled ‘the new generational church heading
toward prosperity’ It has failed to make faithful understand that there
is a life after this planet. Jesus Christ is my emulator. I pray
everyday to open the few eyes to steadfast on the true meaning of
Christianity. Yet we cry for peace when the scroll is being changed (gay
marriage in the church and it kind). If we only talk about terrorism what about our homes!
Starts from our children, look into their future, imaging one of them being the
future president of a great nation like For as there ought to be two sexes; male and female, so is the
end of everyone going to be. He that has the mark of the beast and he
that has the mark of the master of the universe will exist but it is your
choice, my choice our choice to know who to follow till the end. My last word, the word PEACE has always been preached from time
immemorial yet the world is still very far from it. Probably peace awaits
the new earth! The question now is ‘WILL THERE EVER BE PEACE?” It is
something to ponder. Close your eyes for a moment think through your life
till now. Finally try to think into the future. What is in store
for us all? THE END! ~**~**~ Article Review George Waters
Ojeigbe A NEW WEAPON IN THE WAR ON
TERROR by Johann Christoph Arnold: Your zeal for freedom and peace is mighty. You have done a great write up. There are many of you out there in the world who also long for peace and freedom. MAY THE PEACE OF THE HEAVEN MAJESTY BE WITH EACH ONE OF US, IN JESUS NAME – AMEN!
GEORGEWATERS OJEIGBE – ~**~**~ Stella Thompson It was only yesterday I was discussing with
"Family" the in's and out's of life in Palo Alto, around the corner
from San Jose in California: ~**~**~ Poetry Section ~**~**~ Numb? Mary Dees Will I go so far, That only emptiness remains? Will I speak for my demons, When there is nothing to gain? Will my pride make me silent, Or will the door swing wide open? Revealing all of my faults, And all the wrong paths I've chosen. Or will I wallow there, Where dread has a face? Till I'm numb once again, And think love is a waste. NO! My hopes will not settle, When I know happiness is there. Waiting in the darkness, In need of my care. With my fate still hungry, My mouth waters for life. I will bask in its glory And I will handle the price. I will unveil my laughter, And pull my dreams off there shelf. I will clip the weeds from the path, That leads to myself. By Mary M. Dees marlena7694@yahoo.com ~**~**~ The Graveyard Mary Dees Under there, Far below. Do they rest? How can we
know? On mounded
earth, Some fear to
tread. One thing is
sure, Here lies the
dead. A far away
song, A crow I
hear. The sound of
souls, Resounding
here. My skin
tightens, Against the
chilling air. Blanketing
this moment, I become
aware. Laying among
us, All together. A place to
laugh, Or cry
together. Families,
strangers, Neighbors or
lovers, Mom's and
Dad's. Sister's and
brother's. Sharing this
ground, It's all the
same, We all will
go back, From which we
came. By Mary M.
Dees marlena7694@yahoo.com ~**~**~ ~ His Time
Here ~ Mary Dees 14 years ago,
last week, And over half
my life behind me. Marks the memories
I've tucked away, That
always seem to find me. Maybe it was
the color of blue, Or loud pipes
in the distance. Closing my
eyes.. there it was. His Nova, my
first remembrance. Pulling up
all calm and cool, A crooked
smile, always his crime. "Get in
girl..What cha waiting for? I ain't
got much time! Swallowing
hard..I did it, I slid
across his seat. Scorching hot
the summer sun, Burning my
legs with heat. Screeching
out of the drive, I thought my
mom would faint. The wind
swept under my dampened hair, I was his
canvas wet with paint. Pulling over
just a few miles ahead, He stopped
and then he asked ; Would you be
the one to remember me, If I live my
life too fast. "Chris
you know your crazy" I said, Why
would I ever say goodbye? Loving you is
what I'm here to do, Then he bowed
his head and he cried. Around the
corner in my memory, My
heart now plagued with the words I felt. For his vary
life was taken away, On that
dreadfully day of June 12th. I've
kept my promise from 92, . Although
recalling in my mind. His words
that would forever ring true, "Girl I
ain't got much time" How true it
is, our time is measured, I learned
this early on. I know now to
love in life, Befor it's
chance is gone. I am thankful
to have shared the time, That God
seemed to allow. With a Friend
as dear as time itself, That rests in
heaven now. By Mary M.
