Storytime Tapestry Newsletter The newsletter devoted to
spreading love and cultural awareness around the world. Today’s announcements Steven, my only child, happy 30th
birthday. I love you more than life
itself. I received an update on the condition of Jerry Stout from Linda Minutolo. I must correct one
thing before I post the update. Jerry Stout is the ex-brother-in-law of Linda
Minutolo and ex-husband to Linda's Sister, Dolores Cumbow. I thought he was
Dolores' Son. Jerry was severely beaten, robbed and left for dead in a field
with tall grass. He was there about 5 hours before he was found. You may send your words of
encouragement and prayers directly to Linda who will convey them to Dolores: lindaminutolo@hotmail.com Now onto the good stuff! Today’s Queue Stories ~**~**~ GENIE IN
THE LAMP By: Joseph J. Mazzella
How many of us at one time or another have wished that those fairy tales where
true and that we could somehow find a magic lamp with a genie in it? How many
of us have wished that we could have those three wishes that would change our
lives? How many of us have wished that we could finally get all that money and
all that stuff so that we could finally be happy? I hate to say it, but I was
one of those genie wishers for a long time myself. I finally realized, however,
that I didn’t need a genie in a lamp because I already had an angel in my mind.
That angel had always been there trying to get my attention and show me the truth
about life and love, but for a long time I was too busy wishing for a genie to
hear him. I was waiting to get all of that stuff so that I could finally be
happy. One glorious day, though, I finally heard what my angel had been
whispering all those years. "More stuff isn’t going to make you happy.
Being happy is going to make you happy." It was then that I realized that
I wasn’t just taking the long way to joy, I was also taking the wrong way to
joy.
We don’t need a genie in a lamp to bring us joy. We don’t need three magic
wishes to bring us happiness. All we need to do is listen to the angel in our
minds. That angel is telling us everyday just how much God loves us and wants
us to be happy. That angel is telling us everyday that we can choose love, joy,
and oneness with God as well. That angel is telling us everyday that we are
here to do God’s will by sharing that love and joy with the world.
Shove the genie back in the lamp then. God didn’t bring you here to sit around
waiting for your world to get better. God brought you here to make the world
better yourself. Share your love, joy, talent, and energy with the world.
Create your own happiness everyday with what you think, feel, and do. Listen to
that angel in your mind and become an angel in your own life. Poetry Section ~**~**~ In celebration of Mary Dees birthday which
just passed. Homemade Mary Dees Every year for 30, She'd set aside time to bake. A chocolate on chocolate, made with love, Special birthday cake. Every year she'd do this, She never once forgot. She knew there was nothing special, About some cake that was store bought. I could smell the cake when I walked in, But I would still act surprised. I knew the 13Th day of September, Lit my mother's eyes. She would light the candles, Yes she did, even when I turned 29. She would turn the lights way down low, And sing that birthday rhyme. With just a hug from her, I was special, 30 times over that's all it would take. But to my mother, her daughter deserved, A made with love, not store bought... Homemade birthday cake. By Mary M. Dees marlena7694@yahoo.com ~**~**~ The Box Mary Dees If I could have caught all the pretty
butterfly's I have seen throughout my life, I would have placed them in a special box
labeled; Only for my daughters eyes. I would have meant to remember each one And the tenderness they might have brought, For each one would have been beautiful Every single one I wish I caught. I would have collected them throughout the
years And there might have even been enough, To surround my daughter with gentleness Each time she opened it up. I would have sprinkled the box with glitter I probably would have thought to make it
shine, I might have added a tiny star for every
year That I waited for her to be mine. I think I might have sanded the edges And oiled the hinges quite a bit, So that she couldn't have felt a scratch or
a pinch From a heartfelt token such as this. And finally for the clasp, I might have
placed a ribbon In the most delicate shade I knew, To match the eyes of my angel I've always known they would
be blue. I would have assembled this box (for my
Shayla) If I could have only known, The tenderness a daughter needs To receive before she's grown. BY Mary M. Dees Marlena7694@yahoo.com ~**~**~ ~ Little Man ~ Mary Dees Compassionate already He is only 5, Talking just like a man He keeps my heart surprised. Tender and wholesome He wakes up with a smile, Greeting me with sleepy eyes He makes my day worthwhile. Grasping everything he's taught And wanting to know more, He is my ocean when the seagulls Tread upon my shore. Reaching out for comfort This little man confides, With his arms around my neck. I believe and then decide. There could never be another guy To fill my life with utter joy, Then this honorable man becoming Who is still my little boy. Mary M. your article on the shootings in I
think it is so sad that either of our countries have had to add this to their
history. Very

Hartson – Mid Sept holidays in Re
Back to Armadillos. Mike you are silly of
course. It takes one to know one but you forgot to mention, I think, how
much pleasure you get from your assortment of guests. You forgot to
mention how loving them warms you and often makes you smile. And then, of
course, you forgot to mention the sadness of losing even one. It
would be wondrous if all the world’s children had you for a
dad!
