Storytime Tapestry Newsletter The newsletter devoted to
spreading love and cultural awareness around the world. Today’s announcements Prayers are needed for Bob and Ronni
Shaw: Hi Guys. Just a quick note to say hi. Ronni and I have been down pretty sick...again. This time, I think it's probably a lot of nerves and stress.
Dad passed away last week. He'd been fighting Alzheimers. He'd been in the nursing home for 15 months. We went to see him that afternoon, and he passed on about 2 hours after we got back home. It was a nice ceremony, and he looked peaceful and resting. Bob & Ronni Now onto the good stuff! Today’s Queue Stories ~**~**~ "ETERNITY"
Since those of us who
are Christians so dearly LOVE and SERVE the Lord . . .
we DESIRE ALL TO SHARE IN THE JOY OF OUR
SALVATION !!! Diligence in praying
for unsaved loved ones and others the Lord places
upon our hearts is of great importance. I have no doubt
whatever it was the prayers of my precious mother,
grandmother and others found their way to Father's
mercy seat . . . wherewith my own conversion was
secured. I PRAISE THE LORD & THANK HIM for
accepting me in the beloved !!! Mary Carter Mizrany musingByMary@aol.com ~**~**~ THE HAMBURGER! Sharon Bryant Early every morning I have to
water my bushes and flower beds due to the drought in my area. Usually
the neighbor across the acreage is outside doing something with her pool.
And naturally my dogs love to go outside with me whenever I go. So this morning was no
different than any other, except for the hamburger. Ladybug (border collie) got a
plush toy hamburger for her anniversary adoption day last November.
We always get her something each year to let her know we saved her at the
shelter and showed her that not all people harm dogs. She loves her stuffed toys and
will bounce them around the house and play catch with us. She never
destroys her toys. We also have Bob, our Corgi,
who has his own stuffed animals. You see, Bob is sneaky. He loves
to get a stuffed toy, and somehow gets a tiny tear going in the seam of all his
toys. Ladybug's hamburger is the only toy we have left that has all its
stuffing still intact. (I noticed a tiny tear in the hamburger this
morning, so I know he's been sneaking around with it when I'm not looking.) When the dogs go outside with
me, they never take any toys. There are toys in the yard, and there are
house toys, and the hamburger is a house toy. So this morning when I opened
the door, Ladybug grabbed her plump hamburger and was ready to fly out the
door. I told her no, to drop the hamburger. She did. Then in
a flash, before I could say a word, she picked it up again and did at least 45
mph out the door into the yard. Bob was on her heels, barking. He
knew the hamburger stays in the house too. I'm sure you have seen these
new shoes that I call rubber shoes. I think the name is cross or
something like that. I have a pair that was on sale at a flea
market. They're great for watering, great in the rain, and mine are hot
pink in color. Normally I would never buy a hot pink pair of shoes but
for the price, and who's going to see me in my shoes in my yard anyways, I got
them. I had them on this morning. Uh...I forgot to mention that
I was in my robe also. It's blue and white with little pink flowers on
it. Pale pink, mind you. I didn't want the hamburger to
get snuck under the porch where I couldn't get it and where Ladybug loves
to go, so I ran after her, yelling, "Give me that hamburger!"
She dropped it for a second, but she was a good ten foot from me, and as I ran
for it, she grabbed it up again and hiked off across the yard. I was on her
heels. My hot pink rubber shoes were slipping on my feet, I had not
combed my hair yet, and the neighbor was messing around with the motor on her
pool. I yelled again as Ladybug ran around the house, "GIVE ME THAT
HAMBURGER!" I was running and yelling at the same time. I got around the house, and
Bob, the Corgi was on my heels, so he beat me getting close to Ladybug and he
dove for the hamburger. I knew if he got it, it would be a flat hamburger
in no time. So I yelled out, "You better give me that hamburger!" I didn't notice the neighbor
had stopped working on her pool and was watching me across the yard. There I was, in my pink, blue
and white robe, and my hot pink shoes, yelling about the hamburger.
Ladybug grabbed it from Bob and she ran towards the door, which I had left
open. On her heels again, in my rubber shoes, I ran. I shut the
door before Bob could get inside. Finally the hamburger was safe inside
the house. And I think the neighbor
thinks I eat hamburgers for breakfast. Sharon Bryant 1946@bellsouth.net Poetry Section ~**~**~ "MEMORIES WORTH KEEPING" Mary Carter Mizran musingByMary@aol.com ~**~**~ I Picture Me There Mary Carter Mizrany musingByMary@aol.com ~**~**~ Note from
