GOING HOME!

 Violet Apted

Well here I am on the final leg of my journey and though exhausted I feel great! I am ready to return to Australia and move forward in my life.

I had to delay my trip to Paris when my older sister was taken into hospital. She survived the operation and is getting stronger every day. She would not let me cancel my Paris trip bless her, I thought I could not enjoy it knowing she was so ill and delayed it until she was home and stronger. She proved right and on my return I had to tell her it was a thrill of a lifetime to see Paris. I was there in the middle of a heatwave, but it never took the shine off the great city.

Rose shared it all with me through the photographs I brought back with me and we laughed together over my tales of events,( Do I tell you of the proposal of marriage from a complete stranger! On the second level up in the Eiffel Tower?LOL ) The Louvre, Notre Dame and the Eiffel Tower (which we could see from our hotel window) were wonderful. Lots more material for my writing too! My sister is much better now and it will be hard to say goodbye to all the family here in UK, knowing I will never return. Getting too old for the long journey from OZ. It will be good to get back in touch with all my friends and sit at my computer once again. So stand by for some 'travel' stories my friends.
