Today’s Announcements

Hello Gang,

As you all probably know, my eye Dr and I have had a concern over my

glaucoma pressure but after change in eye drops, that problem is doing

well; within the normal range but

I have another problem which I need prayer; my blood pressure is out

of sight and we cannot have that?  Reading at eye dr yesterday was

173/95  pulse  94.   Today at 2pm (est) reading at home 164/90 pulse 88.

I have started taking xanax three times per day where I usually only

take it once in a while or at the most once at bedtime so with rest, relaxation

and prayer, I am sure that I can bring this down to a normal number.

My family dr has added toprol to my cardizem to help this so it behooves

me to do my best so please pray for me as I am not functioning up to my

norm and if you don't se me online much, I will be resting and trying to do

whatever works best.  Thank you for your prayers and I will be in touch.

Lovingly, Normie: hoopla214@yahoo.com

 Dear Carol:

It seems that I started 2007 requesting many prayers!

My friend, Gogui, is in desperate needs of prayer. She has two sons. The oldest one is currently in a drug rehab facility trying to quick the habit. The son one got into bad company and is experimenting. She is devastated and asking for MANY PRAYERS OF THE FAITHFUL.  She is a good mother and a godly woman.

I ask that you all pray for the Holy Spirit to be upon her home and to take away all darkness trying to affect her household. He ask for Jesus light to shine bright on her and her sons so they walk the path of salvation that she walks... She is in need of strength and prayers of comfort.

I thank you in advance.

May the peace of Jesus Christ be always with you!

Your Name

Bill Walker

missourisage@yahoo.com

Your name is about all you really own, it is yours.  Some one says John, and you will get a few to stand up, seems like there is a few people with the handle of John.  But the name belongs to some one.  The some one is proud of the name.  I think John should start with a capital letter, in this case J.  John would like his name to have the J made into a capital letter I believe. It shows a little respect I believe.  I am happy when I notice some one puts it Bill, not bill.. when they do that I think another dad gum bill to pay.  Guess Little Girl bought and charged some doggie treats at the store again., said send Bill the bill.

Anyways what got me cranked up here is I notice some people in writing will write a name, and never make it start with a capital letter.  I wonder if the one that belongs to the name don't get a little upset. I am speaking of our Heavenly Father, GOD.  I believe he should rate his name starting with a capital. Maybe all letters even, after all he is very important.  Now false gods do not rate the capital letter, I will buy that.  So when I see it spelled with case letter, I think of the false gods.   Now there is another beef on my part, while I am on this thing of names and capital letters.  The Holy Bible of God.  Yes those do rate capital letters.  Holy Bible.  It is a book that belongs to God.  He gave it to us, so why shouldn't it have the capital letters?  I have heard. read of other books some says is a bible of some sort.  That is OK with me.  We are not speaking of the Holy Bible,  the Book of Books that was wrote by many authors with God telling them what to write.

Time and Eternity
Vance Agee

When a child, I loved school vacations and family gatherings. Then I
wondered how they could be both real and gone (where?). I asked God to
explain time to me. A summary follows.

Time is a crude measurement, marking device, like a yardstick. As
finite beings, having our entire life imprinted by our perceptions, we assume that it "moves" in a linear manner from one end only toward the other. We assume that things located on one end "cause" events a little further over. God, however, is I AM. Before Abraham WAS at his own demarcation stage lines on the stage of human life, Jesus IS, acting as the WORD to
make real God's thoughts. (Jesus as man, of course, lives on earth between certain year lines, but he is both Son of Man and Son of God.)

True science tells us that the Universe is a sphere. The shortest time distance is on a CURVE, not a straight drawn line. (See
Toronto, Canada Science Museum display which shows this in about 3-4 feet, using two ball bearings rolling down a straight and a curved track.)

Start at one point, travel faster than light in space, and we return to the same point.

When God creates the Great Drama of the Ages, He sees all scenes. This
does not lessen His greatness in creating each scene or the value in our
playing out and living each scene (for Him). As Shakespeare wrote: "All the
world is a stage". As God writes: "Our lives are but a tale that is told".
Told.

Can miracles be done? Yes. How? God, as I AM, simply rewrites that portion of the scroll of life and states via the Logos: "Let there be!" The miracle is created as reality that always IS regardless of how it seems to fit among other scenes. The cancer, e.g., which might well have been there, is not, because of God’s intervention.

Time is like a 32mm motion picture reel. Each scene is a “still”, but the persistence of our perception memory allows us to see movement streaming by. Every nano second is always and forever there, but perceived as movement passing by.

I believe that the Matt. 25:40 “judgment of the nations” will not be done in some huge stadium, but by God’s opening all time “at once” and as the Great I Am, meeting all gathered in their appointed judgment “places”.

This is my reply for my friend GWO, “pro tempore”. Vance

Good Morning World
Cynthia Groopman

Good morning, world, good morning,
awe enfolds me as I marvel at the beauty of the day dawning.
When all was at peaceful rest,
God renewed all with a feeling of enthusiasm, renewal and zest.
Each heart began to rejoically beat,
upon hearing the melodic bird calls that are indeed so sweet.
A floral fragrance of an aroma that is enchanting perfumes the air,
as the bright sun shines upon all with flamboyance and awesome flare.
Smiles spread the morning's glorious song,
that exudes sentiments powerful and strong.
For good morning world, I lovingly say,
as we are dazzled by the surprises of a brand new day.

Happiness

Cynthia Groopman

Oh, I yearn for happiness to lovingly embrace me,
inspiring my thoughts to dance and sing joyfully.
When the sky is blue and the sun is bright,
happiness will ease my sorrow and fright.
When all is well,
what a truly wonderful story happiness will tell.
When the wild beasts of war are forever gone,
happiness will glow and shine in her elegant charm.
When smiles and rainbows unite,
happiness will be the twinkling star adorning sky at night.
When birds of springtime sing with all their splendor and glory,
happiness will relate an inspirational, emotionally touching story.
For happiness, I yearn for you,
and in my mind's eye I see your spiritual richness beaming through.

Readers Feedback

I am surprised for winning the contest.  There are SO many good writers on Storytime. Sharon Bryant

Congrats to Sharon.   Her stories  are always top flight.  I am happy to share with two great writers, Bob Shaw, and Michael Smith, the third spot. There were many great stories, and great writers to pick from. It is a tough act to say one is better then others with this group.
