Hello and Happy Valentines, my wonderful readers.

I pray you are in the arms of your loved one tonight.

I didn't make it to work today because of the snow.

I spent a lot of time editing stories an editor wants

to publish.

On a down side, I planned to purchase something for

Ginny on my way home from work tonight. The storm messed

that up. We're having a nice Valentines night tonight,

but tomorrow I will make it even better.  SMILING

Today, my story titled, "The Lady I Spend Lunch

With" really took off. It appeared in Heartwarmer.com,

Starfish, Storytime Tapestry, and a few other sites.

I wrote that story with the idea to fool those

readers who know me. Judging by the comments, I

succeeded. Ginny loved it too.

I almost forgot. Many of you read the sotry

about my friend Jack, who I got in contact with his

friend from 50 years ago.

The story inspired me too. Last night I did an

internet search for an old high school friend. I

found him in
Ontario, Canada. We talked like no

time had gone by. Thirty years disappeared. We

were in Highschool again.

It was wonderful.

Here's a sequel to the story, "I Just Want to Hold You."

I Don't Want to Let Go

The alarm clock rings again. For the fourth time, I roll

and slap the snooze button. My eyes open and see its
6:00 AM. I

need to go to work. My body stiffens with disappointment. I have

to get up. In my mind I think, "No! I don't want to leave her. I

don't want to let go!"

The sun rises; the sky grows brighter; the birds begin to

sing; and we're slowly roused from sleep. I have a leg thrown

over Ginny's. She has an arm draped over me. The morning sun

warms the room. We get hot and roll away, but always, we keep

our hands or feet in contact.

Without body contact, we get cold again. We roll to each

other once more. I'm against her back - one arm under and one

arm over. My leg stretches out and over hers. The warmth once

again comforts us.

Our body heat becomes too much. I roll to the other side.

In a few minutes she rolls and snuggles my back. Her hand rests

on my shoulder. I instinctively reach up and hold it.

The alarm rings again. My free hand slaps the snooze

button. I roll back to her - holding her. I smell her hair and

feel her skin against mine. I don't want to let go.

It's  always the same: we sleep and touch. I feel empty

unless I am touching her. I have work to face, but I don't want

to let go. I want to hold her forever. I hit the snooze button

again and roll back to her, as if I am drawing strength from

her to get me through the day, until I can be home and in her

arms again.

We begin each day draped over each other. I feel her love

and she feels mine. I don't want to let go.

I never want to let go.

Here is a comment on last weekends story:

That was precious and I didn't have  a clue what the ending

would be until I got there.  I loved it.  Love ya,  Betty

Your Jack and Jack story has me grinning from ear to ear!

Those two pals were destined to meet again, and I'm so

glad that you were instrumental in seeing that they

re-connected after more than half a century.  Way to

go, Mike!   This true story has all the earmarks of a

good movie!    The internet has caused our world to

shrink; hasn't it?

Have a marvelous Monday,

Sandi.

Mike, I loved today's story about Jack and Jack.

What an awesome interactive instrument you've become

for many people. I don't think that just "happened".

Awesome things can happen when you submit to being

God's "tool". Keep on writing!

Diana

Hey Michael,

Really good story about the two Jacks.  I am glad

you took the time to search out one for the other.

Bless you for that and for honoring your old friend.

As to the Cody-Joe story, I did email his humans

and hope it helps them to know others care.

Stay safe and warm.  Give your Ginny a hug.......

As always I enjoy all your stories.

Blessings,
Darlene
