Today’s Announcements

Hurray it is spring!  I was beginning to think Spring would never come.

From Ladybug: Had an emergency with my husbands ex wife.  Still a friend, and the mother of our daughter, (my step daughter).  She is throwing up blood and has blood in her stool.  Critical, but stable in ICU.  Our daughter is very upset, and worried.  When they got her to the hospital her blood pressure was 70/30, almost gone.  She is doing some better but many tests are underway to find out where the bleeding is coming from. Not a good situation.  All prayers are appreciated if you pray.  Her name is Nancy. Also since I have found someone willing to pray, could you also remember my daughter-in-law, Dana.  She is having our 6th grandbaby tomorrow. C-Sec.  She has had a lot of complications with this pregnancy and it's going to be a big day tomorrow.  Thank you for being a friend and listening to my problems. believe strongly in the power of prayer and she needs Gods intervention. And most of all, Thank you for your prayers.

BENIGN!!!!!!!!!!!!

Our prayers were answered re; Jazmyn! Her operation was successful the whole tumour was removed and  the biopsy cane back BENIGN!  She has a full leg cast on her leg and will need  pysiotherapy for some time, but she is strong and will make it!  She was such a brave girl and we are all so very proud of her. Thank you all for your prayers and kind thoughts for my granddaughter. God Bless you all. Thank you again for caring. Violet: violetsrblue7@hotmail.com

I am currently trying to find some scholarships or grants for a very dear friend of mine who is trying to become a Register Nurse... She, however, will have to reduce her working schedule and that of course comes with a pay cut... She is my best friend. Please put her on your prayers....

In addition to that, I continue to work on the publicaction of my Spanish book. It is currently been review by a dear friend and poet from Puerto Rico. I hope in God's grace, that I am able to publish it this year.... God is in control and he will determine the time....

         The Wave Man

Bill Walker

missourisage@yahoo.com

The wave man, years ago there was a man that worked selling cars here in B.Town, He is gone now, but then most every one knew this fellow. Maybe he didn't know you, but you got a wave as you drove by him. It is said he would even wave at a plane flying over head. I don't know if that is true or not.

I have often thought about his wave, I think it may have worked, his waving at passing cars and people.  Now this wasn't standing on the curb looking for a car buyer.  This was just as he walked from one place to the other. You see the main car garage, and sales place was up the street a couple blocks.    The used car lot and building was south of there on the main north and south drag street here.  He would be walking back and forth, every passing car got the wave.

If you didn't know him, made no difference you still got the wave, you could just have drove out of a different car lot, driving a brand new what ever, he still waved at you. His brand was Pontiac and Buick. I have been told that he was pretty good on telling a maybe buyer of a car of a certain make, and he didn't have it, that is a used one. He would say you know, I believe George down the street has one of those, maybe a couple about that year and make.  Tell George I sent you.

The waver has been gone for some years now,  That is the waving man selling cars. He bought a house close by between the places he worked.  He would still be seen out on the sidewalks, looking up and down the street. Still waving at passing cars.

I drove by there today, old waver is gone now. Last time I seen him I said Eldon, some day I got to write a little story about the most friendly man I ever knew. The waver of Beatrice.

I got a great big smile and a good bye wave.   So long Eldon Wright, the waving man.

Waiting For The Birdsong
Cynthia Groopman

Oh, the winter has been harsh, icy and long,
All I long for is to hear the bird song.
With great anticipation, I wait and wait,
Hoping that the bird song will not be delayed and arrive too late.
For waiting for the bird song makes me think of  springtime celebration,
When my heart dances and sings in majestic elation.
So, bird song, do not be tardy and take your time,
For, zestful renewal and deep elation will bathe my soul,
With your melodic tuneful golden sunshine.

How I Long For Spring
Cynthia Groopman

Oh, spring, how I long for you,
when the sun resides in an elegant sky crystal clear and blue.
Oh, spring, my heart is dancing in anticipation,
and when you arrive, how glorious will be my elation.
For spring is a time of romance,
of frolicking, flare and sprightly dance.
When youthful days are recalled and brought to mind,
where a prince charming I can strive to find.
When days are carefree and I am embraced by the luster of light,
where God's natural creation is indeed a splendid sight.
Where the air smells so sweet,
And every moment outdoors is a treat.
Spring, I wish I can enfold you in my winter weary embrace,
thinking of you brings radiant smiles to my chilly face.

Spring's Arrival

Cynthia Groopman

With deep reflection,
I doubt and question.
Will spring arrive on time?
Is the present worry of mine.
Longing to be enveloped into spring's tender warm arms,
I yearn for winter's harsh biting cold to disappear and be gone.
Oh, spring, you are like a delightful smiling child
With a voice as cheerful as a bird's lovely song melodic and mild.
So, spring when will you finally arrive,
So that my spirits will once again bud, flourish and thrive.

Spring's Mirthful Bliss
Cynthia Groopman

Oh, to be embraced by spring's loving bliss,
Elates me as I am given a warm sweet renewal kiss.
 Allured by enchanting fragrance,
I am enfolded into the charming arms of spring's adoring elegance.
As spring's melodic birds lovingly sing to me,
 My heart dances merrily.
For spring's bliss is indeed special and regal in everyway,
As we savor and value each elaborate treasure,
Of a radiant golden spring day.

Readers Feedback

Hello Ron,

What a story!! Oh, my goodness to put it mildly!  I wish we had more Leo's in this world to uphold our veterans and their rewards for service over and beyond the call of duty having been put in harm's way. We need to keep our troops in God's protective Hands.

Norma Liles

Great story, Ron.

I tried to email you privately, but my email keeps bouncing back.

What a nice warm feeling this story, “Kidnapped by God” gave me.  God most certainly approves of Ron’s story telling.
