LET YOUR SOUL SING

By: Joseph J. Mazzella

The birds are singing again in the mountains of my home. The warm, March air is carrying dozens of different songs to my delighted ears as I walk my dogs in the morning. Everywhere I go I can hear the sweet music coming from my feathered friends in the treetops. This year there are even several Woodpeckers providing a nice drum section to back up the wonderful choir of happiness that I am hearing. Every song is such a pleasure to hear. Each one is special. Each one is full of joy. Each one is full of love. Each one is full of life. All of them are blending together as well into one glorious song of thanks to God. Spring may look like sunshine and smell like flowers, but in my ears it will always sound like birdsong.

My little singers are helping me to remember something very important as well. They are reminding me that I still have my own song to sing in this world. I still have a lot of joy left to spread. I still have a lot of love left to share. I still have a lot of life left to live. I still have a lot of goodness and oneness with God left to give to everyone I meet. I don’t want to die full of regret because my music was still inside of me.

I may just be one, little bird singing in this vast world, but I am going to keep chirping away. I know that if you take away just one bird the song of life becomes less. I know too that if you add just one more singer this glorious song becomes so much more. I will be happy then to be a part of God’s choir of joy here on Earth until I can join God’s choir of joy in Heaven.

In everything you say and in everything you do let your heart and soul sing with love, joy, and oneness with God. Make your own life a beautiful song that brings happiness to the ears of the world. Sing like a bird on the first day of Spring. Sing like an Angel on her first day in Heaven.  Sing and invite all you know to join in the music.

A Little Shopper

Bill Walker

missourisage@yahoo.com

I watched this little Doll for a while, she was shopping. My guess was she was about 2 maybe 3 years old, but never the less she was shopping.

There was a young lady dinning in this place, she had her little boy in the seat beside her, in one of those booster seats.  He looked to be about 3 years of age also. In came this little girl and her mother. These got the booth next to the other lady and the little boy.  Mama took the seat facing the other way. Little Girl got a booster seat also. So she had to do a turn around to make eyes at the young man.

Now from where I was sitting, I had to move a bit in my booth to get a better view.  The lady with the little boy noticed the many little glances of the little girl, the little bat the eyes, the little smiles. The lady with the little girl also noticed the fact that Little Dollie was really not looking at the food in front of her, it was the food for eyes behind.

I think the Little Dollie had this little fellow sized up.  He has the looks of maybe senator some day, maybe even president.  I would like to be known as wife of the president. That has a nice sound to it don't you think?  Yes I think the little wheels and gears of a real young girl's mind was all ready in play here. She was shopping.

I was leaving same time the lady with the little boy was.   I said the little charmer in the next booth, sure was giving your little boy the look over.. She  chuckled, and  said,, '" guess she will have to keep a closer watch on her little boy, some vixen will be out to nab him from her all too soon."

Anticipation
Cynthia Groopman

Anticipation is like waiting for a beautiful sunrise,
that is full of awe and surprise.
It fills my cup of life with something new,
and is as radiant and sparkling as the morning dew.
Anticipation is as lovely as the rainbow,
inspiring my heart to dance and glow.
Anticipation is like a twinkling star,
whispering an optimistic message from afar.
Anticipation is part of the waiting game,
and as I count each day, joyful and elated I shall remain.
For anticipation you are making me wait,
but I must be patient too,
because anticipation makes my skies sunny and beautifully blue.

Spring's Breathtaking Glory
Cynthia Groopman

As the gentle breezes sang a melodic springtime song,
I felt an awesome emotional renewal magnificently strong.
As the leaves and grass began to flourish and thrive,
my heart was dancing, renewed and I was elated to be alive.
For gone is the winter weary blues that made me frown,
and no longer are my spirits gloomy nor do I feel down.
For today, I was kissed by springtime's elegant glory,
and in gratitude I thank God for His picturesque creation story.

Appreciating Springtime's Magnificent Splendor
Cynthia Groopman

Majestically crowning the winter-wear barren earth
with an awesome breathtaking splendor,
Softly, the angel of spring gently envelops and tenderly caresses all,
bathing them in her exquisite beauty and charm.
Flying on the magic chariot of renewal and rebirth,
the angel of spring arrives in a spectacular blaze of glory.
Lovingly warming mother earth's frozen sullen face,
with a shining golden glow of radiant sunshine,
Flapping her regal wings, the angel of spring triumphantly
unfolds before our eyes a stunning flare of sheer elegance.
With a burst of fanfare, the smiling rainbow of tiny budding flower,
suddenly adorn the velvety lush green landscape.
The tall leafy trees reach out lovingly to the cheerfully chirping birds,
inviting them to nest underneath their sheltering welcoming arms.
For, deal angel of spring, our hearts rejoicefully sing as your magic
wand enlivens everything great and small with a specialness of joy.
