Subject: Update on Hart - Whispering Hope

 Dear Friends
Everyone, for your prayers and your concern.
I hope you will forgive my short update today, and for my having not sent it out until now. I was at the hospital this morning to get Hart ready for his trip to Vancouver General. Rocky is sorry that he did not get to go with me; however, he gave up that privilege so that Faith (sister-in-law from Alberta) could come with me. Rocky realized that she would be more help than he would be...Rocky thanks all the friends who wrote him personal notes in response to his updates.

Around noon today Hart went by ambulance from Fraser Canyon Hospital (Hope) to the big hospital in Vancouver, BC, where they will decide what to do about his leg. The strongest possiblily is that they will amputate it, as I have been telling you, but until this consultation takes place, no one will know.  I am sure they will let me know as soon as they decide.  I hated to have to say good bye to him, as I now won't be able to see him for days, or until after his surgery. It feels as if part of ME is missing.

Thanks Dee, for sending this background and music today. It seems so appropriate to what I am feeling now. I looked up the words, and want to share them with you. Please enjoy .

Whispering Hope

Soft as the voice of an Angel,
Breathing a lesson unheard,
Hope with a gentle persuasion
Whispers her comforting word.
Wait, till the darkness is over,
Wait, till the tempest is done,
Hope for the sunshine tomorrow
After the shower is gone.

 Whispering hope,
   Oh, how welcome thy voice,
   Making my heart
   In it's sorrow rejoice.

Hope has an anchor so steadfast,
Rends the dark veil for the soul.
Wither the Master has entered,
Robbing the grave of its goal.
Come then O come glad fruition,
Come to my sad weary soul.
Come Thou O blessed hope of glory,
Never O never depart.

Whispering hope,
   Oh, how welcome thy voice,
   Making my heart
   In it's sorrow rejoice.

If in the dusk of the twilight,
Dim be the region afar,
Will not the deepening darkness
Brighten the glimmering star?
Then, when the night is upon us,
Why should the heart sink away?
When the dark midnight is over
Watch for the breaking of day.

Whispering hope,
   Oh, how welcome thy voice,
   Making my heart
   In it's sorrow rejoice.
