Dear Friends: ... My turn tonight. It is very late. I have been busy since coming home this afternoon at 2. Hart was sleeping when I left, so I decided to come home early.... But this is the first I have had to get to my emails. Rocky is sleeping, so I didn't want to disturb him....Update below.

Soaring

I'm just like a bird

Flying high in the sky:

My soul's not in bondage,

So neither am I.

'Though walls may enclose me,

I'll always be free,

For my God is with me,

And he holds the key.

Each day in the morning

I rise up to pray.

I ask God in heaven

For grace for this day.

I know He will help me

Stay free in my heart,

No matter what hardships

This day may impart.

Hart began his physio today. Since yesterday's fall, he was quite afraid. He didn't want to fall again. His left knee still hurts, but he was shown how to transfer from the bed to the wheelchair, and to balance, standing on his one foot, using the walker as his support. He did great. But Hart's biggest problem is, HE DOES NOT LIKE TO USE THE CALL BUTTON WHEN HE NEEDS HELP. I told him he MUST, as he is doing no one a favour by not calling for help, and by trying to do everything himself. But that is the kind of guy he is. He wants to be independant. That is good, but sometimes it makes it harder for others, too.

Hart asked me to thank all of you for your wonderful suggestions, and for your faithful prayers, as well as those of you who have passed on testimonies of other amputees having made great recoveries. Thanks for sharing your own personal experience, those of you who have gone through this trauma. Hart is determined to make the best out of life. He always has and always will.

Now I am going to say good night, as it is past midnight.
