Please show your support for child abuse sufferer

My fourth book "Playing With The Devil" is a novel based on a true story of the terrible abuses suffered by 12 children in one Canadian family. The primary character is based on the oldest of the children, Byron Prior.

Byron was abused beginning with his own mother when he was four years old. It wasn't long before she was pimping him out to various men, just so she could put a few extra dollars in her pocket. All of Byron's brothers and sisters were abused as well, from their own grandfather, to local prominent figures including politicians, well-known businessmen, religious leaders and various others.

It is such a crime that none of these people have ever been brought to justice, with many of them still enjoying their former positions and lives, while the children have grown up with horrible memories that can never be erased.

As a youngster, Byron always tried to shield his brothers and sisters. Now an adult in his '50s, he has spent countless years trying to bring them justice, even going as far as picketing the Parliament Buildings in Ottawa for months at a time.

Just yesterday, I received this email from Byron and it really breaks my heart.

Folks, I'd like you all to know that after 40 years of telling the truth about what happened to my

family, on February 22/ 07 I was arrested and taken to court in ankle chains and handcuffs, and charged with 3 counts of Defamatory Liable. Still no one has asked for DNA tests but I was still charged. After I appear in Supreme Court on April 2/07, I will continue to keep updating that page, as things occur. Please keep me in your prayers and ask God to give me justice. I'm being persecuted for telling the truth about the corruption in our legal system and Canadian politics. I will keep doing so until my last breath, God willing, I must appear again on May 1.

I know it would mean the world to Byron, who has been through some difficult health problems due to his years of grief over this matter. At more than one point over the past couple of years, he has written to say he felt like giving up - not on just this matter, but life itself.
