Subject: Storytime Tapestry : Update on Hart - May10, 2007

 Hello Friends............
It has been several days since you have heard from me.... As I have told you, Hart is home, and has been since Friday. However, each day has been a struggle for him, and the nights are not "pleasant dreams."  He is not only having to learn to adjust to his limb situation, but is still fighting infections in his body. He has not felt like sitting at the computer; although he did try for an hour the other day. As for myself, I have been kept busy looking after Hart--my main concern. ( And for a few days I was fighting a cold.) As for Rocky, he will not leave Hart's side.  He won't even come near the computer.

But I don't want to sound negative, so want to send you this beautiful, spring page, sent by Anastasia, and  share a couple of poems by friends, for your encouragement.

Thanks to all of you who have been voting daily for (Helen's) website.

A Reason for Everything
 Dot Wilson

There is always a reason for everything.
You have many problems, and then they take wing.
You may wonder then, where you got the knack
of sending them away; but you know they'll be back!

It's not your doing; it's Him that you serve.
He takes care of you, more than you deserve.
When we see Him in that land so high,
we may learn the reasons - up there in the sky!

Reasons for our pain: for our troubles and all.
Are they to make sure, that on Him we call?
Some things make us stronger, and some make us wait.
For something we want - Oh, don't let it be late!

Things are going badly for you this fine day?
Take your cares to Jesus: get on your knees and pray!
Tell Him you love Him, and He owns you heart and soul.
Then everything will come out right: for God is in control!

I Give God Thanks In Everything.

 I refuse to be discouraged,
to be unhappy, or to cry;
I refuse to be downhearted,
And here's the reason why...

I have a God who's mighty.
He's sovereign and supreme.
I have a God who loves me,
and I am on His team.

He is all wise and powerful.
Jesus is His name;
though everything is changeable,
my God remains the same.

My God knows all that's happening,
from beginning to the end.
His presence is my comfort.
He is my dearest friend.

When sickness comes to weaken me,
to bring my head down low,
I call upon my mighty God:
Into His arms I go.

When circumstances threaten
to rob me of my peace;
He draws me close unto His breast,
where all my strivings cease.

When my heart melts within me,
and weakness takes control,
He gathers me into His arms;
He soothes my heart and soul.

The great "I AM" is with me.
My life is in His hand.
Christ Jesus is my only hope.
It's in His strength I stand.

I will not to be defeated.
My eyes are on my God;
He's promised to be with me,
as through this life I trod.

I'm looking past my circumstances,
to Heaven's throne above;
My prayers have reached the heart of God,
I'm resting in His love.

I give God thanks in everything.
My eyes are on His face.
The battle's His, the victory's mine;
He'll help me win the race.
