Today’s Announcements

Just wanted to share what our precious poet, Mary Dees, thinks about my book Angels Watching Over Me – Which can be purchased by clicking on this link:  http://www.lulu.com/content/964306

Carol,

I am now on Chapter 9.  There was no way I could tell you chapter by chapter what I thought because I was carried away to the next chapter and then the next. I found myself in almost the same position as I was in with "Picking up the pieces". It is as though I am famished and I reach for a chocolate bar to cool my craving; I then put the chocolate bar to my mouth and begin taking several rapid bites until I realize...it is nearly half eaten. I then stop to lick my fingers and savor the thought that if I take my time and enjoy I will be all the more satisfied.

Girl I am loving it!  It as if I am setting in the corner of the "Only Words" bookstore witnessing Carissa's evolvement into an independent young woman.  I think that your writing is splendid and flows so freely. I haven't been lost once. Every event has unfolded into its perfect little place just waiting for me to turn the page and take another journey with Carissa.

"Angels Watching Over Me is becoming a treasure to my heart.

I was also warmed by the mention of Debra Welch for her proof reading. She gives so much of her time to help others, she has done so much for me as well. Have you had a chance to read her novel? I'm waiting for my mom to finish it so that I can get lost in the magic of her words as well.

I will write again soon. Have a great week ahead.

Love, Mary M. Dees

Hello you all: I want to say THANK YOU for your prayers and word of encouragement. Today my oldest son took his remedial test on the class of Politics. I got a 2 (B in USA) and that gave him the necessary qualifications to go to Gymnasium. This is Germany equivalent to high school. We are super happy. He studied very hard the entire Summer and his efforts paid off. He was nervous. I told him to pray the Lord's Prayer before his test. I also attended church and prayed for him....

ONCE AGAIN THANK YOU!!!!!

From the distance, yours in Christ Jesus

 LEAVE YOUR LIGHT ON

By: Joseph J. Mazzella

My blinking buddies are back for the Summer again. For several years now I have had the pure delight of watching the fireflies gather in my backyard at night and share their light. I enjoy standing there watching them blink on and off as sun sets, the stars rise, and the air cools in the evening. What I love the most is seeing a lone firefly sharing its light only to be answered by first one and then another and another. Soon dozens are flashing their lights on and off in perfect unison. It is then when my whole backyard becomes a symphony of light and Earth feels a lot closer to Heaven. It is then when I joyously remember all the light we can share too.

We all have one advantage over my blinking buddies, though. We can leave our lights on.  We can shine them in the darkest night and add light to the sunniest day. We can light up the hearts around us with our love and brighten every soul we meet with our happiness. We can shine our goodness, kindness, and oneness with God so that everyone can see. And just like my firefly friends we can help others to get their lights shining as well.

Don’t be afraid to shine your light. Don’t be afraid to leave it on even when the world around you seems dark. Shine it brightly. Shine it joyously. Shine it lovingly. Let it glow in oneness with God’s light as well. Before you know it you will no longer be a lone firefly in the darkness.  Before you know it others all around you will begin to shine their own lights as well. Before you know it you will be making this world a better, brighter, and more beautiful place.

In this life you have two choices. You can sit in the darkness or you can help God to light up the universe. If a few dozen lightning bugs can make my backyard a Heavenly symphony of light then just imagine what God could do with you. Have a bright, shining, and glorious day then and always remember to leave your light on.

Rainbow Bridge Gang. Bella
 by Tinker and Poo
tinkerpoo2000@yahoo.com

Today we were getting ready to line up for lunch, when up the lane comes this beautiful Collie.  Missy, Rowdy, Gus, Buddy, Bobby and a couple other saw her coming, and rushed to meet her. Well we found out this Collie was one of Dollie Angela's tribe. You remember her, she has Fosters, and Hers. That's a laugh all of them is Hers. She is that
big hearted gal that lives down
Houston way, Texas you know.

We all stepped aside and let her get first in line, but we had to tell Ma Bakers gang twice. For some reason guess it is the Dalton/Younger blood line thinking they got from her, they try to be first. Wonder why none of the nice traits of General Lee didn't show? You know she an off shoot of both families.

Anyways we were all dining together, and she told us her story. She had been richly blessed to have been one of Dollie Angela's Collies.  She had a real home, and good times with all of the others; Chloe, Madison, Peaches, and Rascal. She told us about the battle Angela put up to save Peaches. Well there are many people who pull out all the stops to give their Little People the best of care. She said Angela was with
her to the end.

Yes Angela, Bella is here. She will have a wonderful time, playing and we will be so happy to have her in the gang. Also we all know you're going to be sad for a while. You will have the others for company, but tonight one is missing - Bella. We know Bella will be missed by you and the others.

Bella told us, there may be another dog out that way looking for a home, and
Angela will be the one to give it a home. At first it will be Foster, but in a couple days will be Hers. What's a home with out a gang of wonderful friends with 4 paws anyways?

Guess the evening movie is "Bella Comes Home." We're going to order some French Fries for snacking. Bella said she loved French Fries. We guess the Angels will fix some hamburgers along with the fries. The movie is a long one. Well, Bella's life story is a
long one, you know.

Someone Who Cares

Conrad Cardinal

Walk with me a while, let me share your

thoughts and dreams.

Talk to me a while, share your secret

schemes.

Have you wished for someone one to say

these things to you?

Someone who would really care about

what you'd like to do.

A friend who'd care to know what it is you

feel.

One who's interest was so intense, you'd

be sure that it was real.

Many of us yearn for a friend to really

know us.

Some one to be there through joy and

sorrow without making a fuss.

How might we fulfill this need many seem

to share?

I know there is a way that's sure, if we'd

only dare.

Instead of turning away when someone

calls to you,

Turn to them and say, what is it I can do?

What can I do friend to help you along your

way?

Can I share your burden and carry your load

today?

Learning to love your neighbor, I'm sure would

be best.

If this was part of  our lives each day, God

could help with the rest.

Do Not Judge

Conrad Cardinal

What can we do when someone we love

chooses to leave the earth?

Most times it's hard for us to realize they

lacked a sense of worth.

Those of us left behind feel pain and

emptiness.

We may be angry or hurt and think their

choice senseless.

In my experience It's impossible for us

to know,

why they chose the path they did, why

they wanted to go.

Was it loneliness or lack of self worth

that drove them to despair?

Could it have been their burden was such

they were no longer able to care?

Their pain must've been unbearable and

they no longer wished to fight.

They were living in the dark and couldn't

find the light.

Have you lost a loved one and are finding

it hard to deal?

Has life become hard to live and seem to be

surreal?

The answer that I offer is the best way to go.

Get on your knees and pray to God, you know

he loves us so.

Instead of judging and being mad, try to love

and pray.

Allow Heavenly Father to be the judge and

you live day by day.

Keep a positive thought, knowing God under-

stands and cares.

Remember he also lost someone he loves

and your grief he shares.
