Today is the date 62 years ago Japan said enough on August 14, 1945.  To me it don't seem all that long ago. The ranks of Veterans of that war has grown thin. If you happen to know one, be nice, and say, "Thanks Friend, you and your Buddies  bought us Freedom, many of your Buddies never made it home. Thanks for paying the price. Blood, Sweat, and Tears."

You see that was a truly World At War. There was very few nations that didn't have a hand one way or other in that terrible war. Unknown millions of people gave their lives in that terrible war. Unknown millions of people lost family members in that terrible war. Unknown millions of people didn't know if there would be a tomorrow or not. Unknown millions of people lived in fear day and night.  We will never know the true number of the cost, both in lives and money matters that,  that damn war cost.

A damn war caused by Hate, Lust, and Greed.  Same as all wars, Hate, Lust, and Greed is the back bone of all damn wars.  World War Two was just bigger of the wars. The World was at War.

So if you happen to know a Veteran of that war,  do say,  "thanks."  If you happen to know a woman who lost her love over there fighting for this thing called Freedom say "Thanks." Maybe you know a woman who her husband is now gone, who was in that war, do the same.  Say, "Thanks."

I know of one such lady, who lost her love over there. So Mystery Lady,  I say, "Thanks  to your husband and every so many more like him, Thanks.  The few, the proud, the brave that laid it all on the line. Those paid the price of Freedom one more time. Blood, Sweat, and Tears is the price of Freedom.

The soldier, the sailor, the other branches of service that paid the price of war caused by the failings of so called leaders who could not find the time, the ways of stopping a war before it came about.  Wars are easy to get into, hard to stop once started.

62 years ago,  I remember that date.  !4 August 1945. God Please Bless the Souls of those that never lived to see that date.  Those has been in most cases to have served their time in Hell on earth.
