Pneumarrhea ~ Quite Contageous

By Rosa Seyah

Sitting out on the patio early this morning before he had to leave for work, Hubby and I engaged in a conversation about his job. He is a builder, and at present is working for a company as a trim carpenter. They are working on residential housing, and each building has eight units, with two carpenters assigned to each unit, but Hubby does all the hardwoods and cabinets in each unit, so he is the only one who is suppose to be moving around from place to place.

He told me that no matter where he is in the building, all the workers are always coming to him. He's virtually the new man on the job, everyone else has been there much longer. They come to ask questions, or borrow tools; they come to look at his work and sometimes they don't even need an excuse - they just come to chat.

When he was hired, his boss told him, "You probably won't see much of me, so if you need anything, just ask Woody." As it turns out, the boss has come in to see and chat with him every day for a couple of months now. Yesterday, Hubby's truck wasn't on the job (repairs), but out of all the worker's vehicles, the boss noticed when Hubby's truck was not there, and you almost know his first thought was a worry of Hubby not showing up for work when he asked, "Where's your truck?"

It seemed to amaze Hubby that everyone seemed so drawn to him, as he contemplated this. I wasn't surprised at all. Hubby is very charismatic. An old friend once told him he was his own character, but Hubby didn't get the message in ths like I did. At various times he can be a trickster, serious as a heartbeat, sympathetic, giving, compassionate, loving, funny... you name it. Sometimes, he can be so in your face bold with truth that people are taken aback by it. He can move to anyone's level and converse with them, I don't care how young they are, or how important or educated they are. He's not intimidated by anything or anyone. Mostly he's fun to be around - never a dull moment.

So, while we are in the midst of this contemplative discussion of attraction, I bust out in laughter because I know he cannot see himself as "we" see him. Mentioning the fact of Woody borrowing Hubby's pneumatic nail gun, a thought occurred to me, so I blurted it out with laughter.... "Pneumarrhea, you've got pneumarrhea." He just stared at me blankly, probably thinking I'm nuts or something. It's all Greek to him.

Pneuma, of course, is the Greek word for "spirit" and rrhea is a Greek compound meaning "to flow" so I've made up this new word, pertaining to the laws of attraction: Pneumarrhea - spirit flow. In my own mind, I can envision the invisible movement like ribbons floating outward in the breeze, swirling and twirling, weaving its way throughout the invisible realm, and yet being so real we can actually sense it and desire it. And so we move toward it, as though it were its own form of gravity, gently pulling us.

Spirit gravity can turn itself into physical gravity, making it quite contageous. People are drawn to the spirit they perceive in other people, and even animals are drawn by the spirit they perceive in humans. Spirit gravity is what allows Chicadee to be able to land on the fence next to where we stand without fear. He knows we won't hurt him, but he also knows we will feed him and talk to him. He cocks his head to listen, and evidently he likes that, so he comes back. People are the same, drawn by what they perceive in the spirit of another, or as some might say..... good vibs.

As Hubby gathers with his co-workers, there is a lot more going on there than just work. There is a bonding going on - a bonding of spirits giving and receiving the need of companionship because in reality we are all one family in the process of a huge family reunion. And Pneumarrhea is among us to help make the family reunion a success.

Just as Hubby gathers there, I also gather here, and I see the flow, and embrace it. And you also, embrace this gathering or you would not be here on the internet gathering.

Pneumarrhea - keep passing it on.
