Today’s Announcements

Happy Birthday Storytime Tapestry, You are 4 years old. Storytime Tapestry started on September 1, 2003 with 3 writers, Loren Moore, Joe Mazzella, and myself, not long after Sharon Bryant and Roger Dean Kiser joined the little fold of writers. Today we have 429 writers with new writers joining all the time. I had exactly 300 members and now I have 2, 670. I thank each and every reader and writer who has stayed with me all these years and helped us to grow.

What Storytime Tapestry Means to me

Sharon Bryant

I want to comment on Storytime. I believe I began with Carol in 2003. I write for other sites, but Storytime has always been special to me. Not only do I like to attempt to write stories, but I have made a lot of friends through this newsletter. Not to mention that Carol and I have become friends, which I love.

I have learned through this newsletter. I have been blessed by this newsletter, and there are some great stories written. As most of you know, I love the animal ones, being the dog lover than I and my family are. I love stories that are written from the heart.

I used to have this dream since I was in grade school......to be a writer one day. I had hoped that with time and experience, I might publish something that would be of interest to someone other than myself.

Sometimes I babble and I know that. Sometimes I get ideas in my head. Then sometimes I try to write something and get a brain freeze.

Storytime to me is like walking into your best friend's house. I can sit down, relax, and chat about whatever I want. I can get things off my chest and vent if I feel like doing so. But most of all, I can be ME. I like that. Plus no one knows if I'm wearing my nightgown and fuzzy slippers or dressed up. I love that feeling!!

Storytime has become a part of my life in so many ways.

I will read a story about an issue I was not aware of, therefore, I learn from so many of the stories.

I have laughed. I have cried. I have wondered. And I have imagined. Some stories touch my heart in a way that is very special to me. Some stories make me hungry for more. And some stories, I've about had to duct tape myself into my chair when I've begun laughing so hard. That's why I keep a box of Kleenex next to the computer!

I remember something my professor said to me in college one day. He told me you can start a story in the beginning, in the end, or in the middle. I like that.

I just wish my story about the snake incident this summer......that I COULD have started it in the end instead of the beginning. We never did catch that horrid creature that scared the daylights out of me.

My hat off to Carol for putting this together so our Storytime "Family" can grow more. I remember when the numbers were small, but yearly, we grow and grow.

Keep up the great work..... all of you that write to help make this a place that is pleasant to visit.

I hope to be here for as long as Carol wants me.

I still have my dream to be a writer. I always will.

Congratulations Carol for all you have done to help brighten my life.

God Bless,

Sharon Bryant

What Storytime Tapestry Means To Me

Lynne Stevenson

My Dearest Carol,

You and your ezine have truly been a Godsend to me. I can't say for sure which of the writers has touched me the most over the years. Every time I read your ezine I am touched emotionally and physically because somehow I can usually relate to what she/he has experienced and know for sure that I am not alone in this comedy of errors called life. I can surely make the statement that if it had not been for you allowing me to vent about the various situations and messes I have inadvertently found myself involved in within the last couple of years, I would have most likely ended up strapped in a strait jacket bouncing off of the walls in a local psych ward or pushing up daisies at the cemetery with my parents.

It is also hard to say exactly how many friends I have made because of my connection to you. I treasure each and every one of them and would have never found them if it had not been for you. I can never thank you enough for making me feel for the first time in my life that I matter and my opinion does count. I thank God every day that I found you on here and I credit you for helping me maintain what slim shred of sanity I have left.

Even though we have never met, I couldn't love you any more if you had been my flesh and blood sister instead of my "adopted cyber one." I don't have any of my biological family left, except for my son, and he is currently busy building his own life and doesn't see me that much. Thank you for giving me a sense of being a part of a family situation again, even though that hasn't happened in reality in a very long time.

With many hugs and much love from the SC loony bin,

Lynne Stevenson

Happy Birthday StoryTime

Carol,
Your daily page, brings much in the way of joy, thoughts and good things to many. Each story is a blessing and gives thoughts on some matter. Each story tells in its own way of hope, and dreams. That is true also for the poems. A well written poem is a story.

Ms Carol gives many writers a place to tell a story or a poem. One can write on many subjects and will get joy by doing so. I know that is my case. Who said I was a writer? I just am a story teller.

I also receive ideas that I never thought about until I opened her page. There is always something to learn from reading the different stories and poems. What a blessing!

I have picked up many friends from StoryTime. I hope and pray StoryTime will have many more birthdays.

What Storytime Tapestry Means To Me

Mary Dees

Storytime Tapestry is the one place I have found that I can tuck away all of my inhibitions & insecurity's and just write what is in my heart. Its welcome meets you with open arms and releases you with wings. Storytime to me, is not only for writers with a message to send but for readers in search of truth and guidance, spiritual affirmation, or just honest fulfillment. As for Carol, Storytime's creator, she reaches out to each of her writers new or old and through her words of pure devotion to them, she embraces them and genially cares for each one immensely.
Storytime has given me the confidence that I needed, to not only pursue my dream as a writer but also, to visualize my purpose through my work. It has provided me with a soft place to land and a good feeling knowing, that when I settle in to my computer chair in early morning, sipping my freshly made coffee,
that I am guaranteed a smile with one click on my inbox...... New Mail: Storytime Tapestry.

Dear Carol,
Congratulations on Storytime’s fourth anniversary.

Storytime Tapestry is like digging for buried treasure. I have found silver, gold and precious gems on this list daily; some of these in the form of stories, poems or friendships.

Thank you Carol, for all the hard work you put into this ezine.

This is an amazing web site; I am not a published author yet, but hope that my story is published one day. The idea of the process of publication is so easy and direct. However way it goes, may God's will be done through this web site.

Storytime Tapestry

Janice Finley

A blissful 4 years engraved in dreams and sealed in love for life.

Founded in devotion when you joined us as friends, and part of each others lives.

In four short years, we have all grown together through the way you cared.

Rekindling the memories together you first shared.

Still so many cherished hopes await reality.

Together you will see them through the best is yet to be.

And now as future years ahead unfold before our eyes.

New and precious joys become the memories you prize.

Nothing else can quite compare to your own special love.

In all Thy ways acknowledge our Dear Father up above.

Virtue, Love and Patience are the keys to get you through.

Each day they'll be new meaning to the love you share so true.

Remember, that this day will stay most special through the years

So laugh and cry together but through laughter and through tears.

Anniversary memories are treasured from the start.

Receive these gifts with tenderness and gratifying heart.

You're blessed to have each other, may these tender moments bring

Years so full happiness with every cherished thing.
