Storytime_tapestry sent me an invitation October 2, 2004 to join their Yahoo group.  The following day, I accepted and this is part of the file letter of welcome I received.

Hello,

Welcome to storytime_tapestry, a brand new newsletter that was launched
Sept 1, 2003.

Storytime_tapestry will feature stories and poems about the human
condition.  These stories will: inspire you, teach you a new skill, challenge your senses, provide a positive attitude on life, make you laugh, make you cry, and first and foremost provide a cultural link with all the peoples of the world creating a tapestry of love for all of
humanity.

Each day you will receive a story and or poem written by some of the best writers on the internet. These writers will be sharing their personal experiences for your reading pleasure.  This site does not favour stories written by unknown authors (where a name of an author cannot be verified)
but reserves the right to post them at any time.

In addition to the stories and poems posted, there will be a section

called Writer's Feedback  where you include any comments that you……..

Pirates of the Cabinet

Writers Feedback:

Loren,
I love your stories and I believe every word.
Birds are very smart creatures and also lazy
opportunists.  (I love them dearly!)  Who did all
the work to feed it that day?  Ha!  Keep writing

and entertaining all of us.  Thank you!

I have met some very nice people in the group, and when I rejoined this summer, I see Joe is still writing about joy,

Carol is now writing educational articles, she is a very talented poet, and is a very sweet lady, and Loren has passed on..

Carol published an article for me, ”PUMPKIN”, and since I had already left the group, she just could have left it as that.  However, she sent me a copy of the published article through my e-mail.  For some reason I could not delete her name nor removed the folder that I had all the things we did, but the story a bunch of us did, writing on paragraph a time, and this was really fun.  Maybe we could do that again

Since returning, I have re met Joe, and then Bill Walker, and Jan and Pam, Mrs. Dowd, and the list goes on.

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY STORYTIME_TAPESTRY!!

May all your troubles, be little ones, and your joy be exceedingly great, may all your stories entertain, instruct, encourage, give someone the true story.

HAPPY WRITING....Let the words you speak paint a portrait, your words are the words of love, weaved into the tapestry .
