Today’s Announcement
Dear Carol
I want to
thank you for all your prayers and to assure you that none of them were in
vain.
I was hired
today to work as an Administrative Assistant for a training program for disabled
adults.
This could
work into a trainers job or even a community workers position working with the
disabled.
I
interviewed for two jobs on Monday went back for a second interview yesterday
for the one I thought
was the job
I wanted. I got the call from them this morning that they had hired the
other candidate as
I was in
the top two. I received God's answer that door was closed.
Then I got
a call from the training program where I had also interviewed on
Monday and they offered me the job
It is very
close to home too. I am thanking and praising the Lord. This has
been a long time coming.
Thank you
all for your prayers from the bottom of my heart, it has been almost 14 months
of your
prayers
for me. Each one has been heard by our Lord and I am thankful for
each one of you and for your faithfulness in prayer for me. I start my new job on Tuesday
morning.
Monday I
have my lung scan to make sure my lungs are free from blood clots. Please
keep me in your continued prayers for clear test results!
Much Love
to all,
Barbara

ON WINGS OF FAITH MINISTRIES
September 11, 2007
"PRESS ON"
Mary Carter Misrany
We yearn to forget the tragedies of September 11, 2001 on the
one hand . . . yet, on the other hand, we NEVER wish to forget
there are enemies whose lives revolve around our annihilation.
We've heard Osama Bin Laden has served up his latest video
of virulent warnings against us. We've viewed and listened to
political rhetorical
pros and cons on our Homeland Security and/or lack thereof. The tirades
on our
border securities seem to be endless: a weekly onslaught of talk with
little
action.
But, what I desire to concentrate upon in this devotional is spiritual,
precious
angelfamily. I do NOT wish to dwell upon how far we are from
securing our borders.
I do NOT wish to spend but very little time grieving over how far we are from
world
peace nor for peaceful solutions to the perplexing problems facing this
world. And,
even our own individual worlds.
NO, what I wish to concentrate upon here is what our Brother, St.
Paul, exhorted us:
Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I
do, forgetting
those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those thing which are
before,
I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ
Jesus.
Philippians 3:13~14
God wants us to PRESS ON. God
knows that if we dwell upon the past and allow
our hearts to be troubled it can thwart the progress in our spiritual, as well
as, our
emotional and physical life. Any potential growth will be stopped
in its tracks. If we allow ourselves to dwell upon all the negatives ~
the "what ifs" and "if onlys" . . . oh, we shall surely be
brought LOW!!!
I know of what I write, precious angelfamily, first hand. I know if I
spend much time playing scenarios over and over in my mind of tragedies, of
offences, of losses. etc.,
these become hinderances to my walk with the Lord. I become
stagnant, ineffective. Oppressiveness creeps in and the joy of the
Lord diminishes. Slowly the peace and joy are replaced by heavy clouds
of depression. I find myself walking "in the flesh"
and not in the Spirit! I find the freedom I have in the Lord slowly
becomes bondage!
How DO we PRESS ON past the negatives
that satan uses to distract us?
Well, I can tell you how we WON'T accomplish this. We will
NOT accomplish
"pressing on" by engaging in self~pity. By ignoring
our spiritual lives we become
dwarfish spiritually. Depression can cause our prayer life to come to a
screeching
halt. We become inward where our world revolves around ME~ISM. Self
WILL
replace Jesus Christ in our heart's throne. Jesus will become small
in our eyes while
SELF becomes KING ( or QUEEN as the case may be)!
We willl NOT "press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of
God in Christ Jesus if we avoid the reading and hearing the Word of God.
If we allow ourselves to be entertained by television, movies, games and other
distractions, believe me, we will not PRESS ON!!!
Satan loves nothing better than to cause us to take our eyes off of Jesus
Christ.
He plots constantly on ways to distract us from the Lord. As the Word of
God tells
us, he will even disguise himself as a wolf in sheep's clothing if there is any
possibility for changing our course. Too late discovering the wolf hiding
beneath the
sheep's clothing. Therefore, it is imperative that we look not to
the right nor to the
left, but steadfastly keeping our eyes upon the prize, we must PRESS ON, as
St. Paul exhorted.
If this message speaks to your heart today and you find yourself further away
from
the Lord than you desire to be, take heart, my precious angelfamily.
GOD knew you would be reading this today and HE is meeting you right where you
are. The Word of God tells us it is not by might nor by power
but by MY SPIRIT,
saith the Lord. The Spirit of the Lord is speaking to you right now
to seek HIS face.
Admit that you have fallen short and cry out to the Lord. Believe me HE
just waits
to hear your voice and HE WILL RESPOND and RESTORE, precious ones.
As we remember the anniversary of September
11, 2001, let us pray for God's
healing and comfort to be realized in those who are still broken, precious
angelfamily.
Let our prayers join with those all around the world that the Prince of Peace
touches
each life ~ that love overcomes hate! May HE walk with you today,
is my prayer:-)
_____________________________________________
Almighty and merciful Father who is always causing us to triumph, we lift our
hearts
in praise and thanksgiving to you, exalting your name and honouring you.
Oh, sweet Father, we thank you that we cannot go where your grace cannot
find us.
PRAISE YOU FOREVERMORE!!!
We cannot get so far off track that your precious Holy Spirit is
silent. Your Word
declares that if we go to the depths of the sea ~ there your Spirit is to reach
us.
Whither shall we go from thy Spirit? or whither shall we flee from thy
presence?
If we ascend up into heaven, thou art there; if we make our bed in hell,
behold, thout art
there. If we take the wings of the morning, and dwell in the uttermost
parts of the sea;
Even there shall thy hand lead us, and thy right hand shall hold
us. If I say,
Surely the darkness shall cover us; even the night shall be light about
us. Yea,
the darkness hideth not from thee; but the night shineth as the
day: the darkness
and light are both alike to thee. For thou hast possessed our
reins: thou hast
covered us in our mother's womb.
We will praise thee; for we are fearfully and wonderfully made:
marvelous are thy works;
and that our souls knoweth right well.
All of this is too marvelous for us, gracious Father . . . that you have always
known
us before we were even made in secret ~ PRAISE your glorious name !!!
ALL of our members were written in thy book, which in continuance were
fashioned,
when as yet there were none of them ~ OH, HALLELUYAH !!!
How precious also are thy thoughts unto us, O God! How great is the sum
of them!
If we should count them there are more in number than the sand: when we
awake
we are still with thee. OH, come and magnify the Lord with me ~ PRAISE
HIS NAME!
How perfect is thy way, oh Lord, most High, our great and mighty God ~ our
El Shaddai ~ our God who is more than enough!! Blessed be the name of the
Lord!!!
Now we cast every care upon thee, sweet Jesus, just as you've told us to do.
We thank you for perfecting that which concerns us and for letting us know that
Father shall supply all of our need according to his riches in glory by Christ
Jesus.
This is God's irrefutable Word.
Now we ask you to comfort all of those whose hearts are needing comfort as we
remember what was stolen from us six years ago. We ask you to continue to
be
that present help in trouble, precious Father. We thank and praise you
that we can
trust you and KNOW that you hear and will answer this prayer we send
on wings of faith, bathed in the blood and wrapped in the matchless name of our
Saviour and Lord, Jesus Christ. Amen & AMEN.

©Tale Of The Missing Bathrobe
Barbara Weymouth
Last Saturday I washed my big thick terry bathrobe and hung
it out on my deck to dry. Well, I went to church that evening and completely
forgot to bring the bathrobe in. In fact
I didn’t think about it till the next morning when I wanted to wear it. Ah-ha, yep I left it out on the deck over
night. So I put on my other robe and went out to retrieve my favorite bathrobe. Well, the problem was the hanger was hanging
on the hook and no bathrobe. Hmmm, I thought, the wind must have blown it down
to the yard; my deck is on the second story.
So I went downstairs to look around the yard, hmmm, still no
bathrobe anywhere, now I was really getting curious and my detective skills
were starting to kick in. So I looked
over my neighbor’s fence directly across from where my bathrobe had been drying
in the breeze, nope, still no bathrobe.
I was getting determined now, this big terry bathrobe is my favorite and
I wanted it like right now folks.
So I started looking frantically into every nook and cranny
I could possibly believe my bathrobe could be all except one place. Hmmm, I thought maybe by some chance it could
be in my neighbor’s back yard. So I
looked over the back fence and low and behold there is was in all it’s glory
hanging in their apple tree… I had to
laugh!
I was so happy to see that old pink bathrobe I began to
smile. I went back into the house and
called my neighbor and told her the story and we both began to laugh. She said I’m sending my daughter out right
now to get your robe you can meet her at the fence and we laughed some more.
Her daughter, Destiny met me at the fence with a big smile
on her face and we laughed some more. So
if you maybe think this story was much ado about nothing, it’s because you’ve
never loved a bathrobe as much as I love this old thick, pink and cuddly
bathrobe; as much as I do.

"WINGS OF THE MORNING"
Mary Carter Mizrany
Safe with thee, oh gracious Father,
tho' those on earth still sorrow bear;
Heaven keeps them safe from harm,
from evil terror with nought to fear.
They rose upon WINGS OF THE MORNING,
changed from earthly to Divine;
met by white clad mighty angels
we heard you say, Lord, these are mine!
If we listen with our spirits
songs of triumph all Heav'n fill;
changed from mortal to immortal
wed to Father's righteous will.
Bowing in perfect obedience
with others there before God's throne;
HOLY ~ HOLY ~ HOLY ~ HOLY
thou, sweet Lamb, worthy alone!
Send to earth ON WINGS OF MORNING,
precious balm, oh, glorious King;
that our loved ones still so broken,
receive healing only You can bring.
Thank you gracious, loving Father,
some day we'll meet them here above;
Oh, 'til then give them sweet solace
peace and joy and tender love!
