I have sad news to share today.  On September 30th, I had the opportunity to introduce a new writer to Storytime Tapestry.  Some of you have been kind enough to welcome her to the fold.  Today I just got word that Jacqueline Bethune has been shot.

Here is the email I received, and please, please, pray for this fine lady.

Message from Loula M.

know this is going to seem strange, so please read through; before deeming me a crack pot, lol.
I was trying to find some way to post to Jacquline's friends or find where to post for prayers. I signed up just for the purpose to get the word out that Jacqueline was shot, but can't find where to put the post. After reading thru here post, it looks like you are the one who responds the most to her postings.
So, if you could please help out, ty!
The following is a snippet, followed by the link.
Late yesterday afternoon, the police verified that the victim is Jacqueline Bethune of
York.
YORK -- The York Police Department, with assistance from the York County Sheriff's Department and the Nebraska State Patrol, is investigating a shooting that occurred during the early morning hours of Monday, Sept. 24.
At
12:45 a.m., the police department received a 911 call reporting that a person had been shot at 614 East Seventh Street. This is the address of the Coleman Group Home, an Epworth Village client residential facility.
Preliminary information indicated that an unknown suspect entered the home and shot a 33-year-old female employee of
Epworth Village and then left the scene. The victim was transported to York General Hospital by members of the York Fire Department and was later transferred to Lincoln. Chief Don Klug said it did not appear the victim's injuries were life-threatening.

The
Lincoln Journal Star also has several articles, but they don't stay archived for long.

And will have to search "epworth" if it's still online.
And thank you in advance for getting the word out on a fellow Nebraskan.
