Halloween Contest – Stories

Voting runs from November 16 – 20

This year I have separated the Halloween contest into two segments; prose and poetry.   Our writers on Storytime Tapestry try hard to perfect their art and they are really good.  Give them the recognition they deserve; all you have to do is vote.

Rules For Voting

Voting for writers starts today November 16^th and closes on November 20^th.

You will be voting for your favorite writer based on the works he/she published in this contest.

Do not vote just because a certain writer is your friend.  That is not fair, there are many new wonderful writers in this contest and they deserve a chance as well. 

• Vote based on the quality of the work. Here are some things to look for when deciding upon your favourite writer.

• Was the story well written?

• Did the story adhere to the theme of Halloween, or supernatural?

• Did the story evoke emotion; make you laugh; make you cry, scare you?

• Did the story help you remember your own Halloween experiences or give you some ideas on how to celebrate Halloween in the future?

• Were you able to connect on some level to what the writer was expressing?

• Was this story, a story you will say is delightful but forget in 5 minutes or stay with you the rest of your life?

There are only 27 writers so I am giving you up to 5 votes because I do realize how hard it is too choice.  There were so many good stories this year that it was in fact the best contest ever. 

Note to writers please do not vote for yourself, my vote is for every writer as the publisher therefore that serves as your personal vote.

Members please remember you do not need to be a writer to vote, your vote is what is keeping these contests alive.
