Dr. Harmander Singh

“Yaw, I feel so. Hey was your grandfather sportsman?” he asks.

“No, he was a good carpenter in a village,” I say.

“Wow, was he rich to make your father a great sportsman?” he asks.

“No, you see my father belonged to a poor family in a village, which was not able to pay even his fee. My grandfather was having five sons and two daughters,” I say.

“Hey, wait a minute, how comes that your father became an international player?” he asks.

“Well, it is an amazing point, you see he reached to an international level in sports by his own efforts as the colleges offered him the scholarships, and other financial helps,” I say.

“I see it means he is a self-made human, but why did not he go to the Olympics.” He asks.

“Well, it was due to lack of funds, he could not prepare for the Olympics,” I say.

“Hey, he could have approached the authorities and the seniors, did not he do it?” he says.

“Yaw, he could have, but you know he is extremely reserved kind of person and thus has never interfered in anybody’s life,” I reply.

“I see. Why he did not go abroad?” he says.

“You see he was having many offers of jobs from abroad, but he did not go, for his children, us to learn to serve the community as a good citizens, is not it a setting an example as a good father?” I say.

“Wow, it is setting a good example, we have such people both in east and west, is not it,” he says.

“Yaw, I am proud of it,” I reply.

We enjoy the richness and joy of diversification of countries and the cultures.
