I spoke with Bill King this morning.  For the past three weeks, Betty has been either in the nursing home, for therapy, or in Good Samaritan Hospital in Mount Vernon.  Currently she is in the hospital, not doing very well.  Apparently, she has an infection from all the antibiotics she's been on for so long...complications from the MS.  Early during this siege, she suffered seizures, which have since been controlled with medicines.

Bill told me he has a cold, so I assumed he would not be allowed to visit her; but he said no one seemed concerned.  We both thought Betty should be in isolation.  He told me it would be best if I don't call her today, to wait for a day or two to see how she feels.  Right now she feels pretty rough.

I live about fifteen miles from Betty, and I'll go to see her as soon as I get the green light!  Please forward this message to anyone you know who is concerned about her.

Thanks!
