I wanted to share a little lesson, (I needed), which I thought was for my granddaughter and decided I needed to heed my own advice.

 Recriminations OBSTRUCT
My 15 year old granddaughter’s problems with her mother seem to be teaching me and reminding me lessons I need to hold onto myself. I have an old wound that I seem to nurture rather than letting it go and as I listened to my dear granddaughter lament over the past I wanted to urge her to stop the recriminations over things that caused problems a week ago or three months ago and put her energy into strengthening her relationship with her mother.  As she and I discussed life I was reminded of my own tendency to harbor pain over some injustice and knew I needed to formulate this into something easy to read and follow. So I wrote out my new advice to myself:

Each time we remind and make accusations for past errors or omissions we hinder our happiness of the moment and our joys for the future. Recriminations obstruct our progress in rebuilding and strengthening our relationships.

Now that I have created the above, I need to read it through a few times and then live it!

Don’t you think it is marvelous that when you are trying to assist another by providing advice that the advice swings around and stares at you. I got the point! Now I have to remind myself my advice will work really well for me and if my granddaughter sees the worth of the words she may choose to fit it into her life as well!

Smiles ....

Springtime Snow

 Cynthia Groopman

Springtime snow has an unusual whiteness and special glow.

It lasts for only a short time,

As it melts caressed by the mild golden radiant sunshine.

Springtime  snow is winter's last dance,

As it bids us farewell with its own charm, flare and elegance.

So, dear friends, do not be dismayed and do not let springtime snow spoil your day,

For it will disappear vanish and go on its merry way,

As we savor the newness and charm of each springtime day.

My Bouquet Of Blessings

 Cynthia Groopman

Blooming regally in my garden of life,

Are my treasured bouquet of blessings, easing my anxiety and strife.

With such exquisite majesty and flare,

My bouquet of blessings are answers to my prayers.

For the Lord Above,

Softly caresses each flower of blessing with His great and powerful caring love.

Unlike the flowers of spring, that fade and wither in autumn's cold sunshine,

God's bouquet of blessings are eternal and are forever mine.

So, dear God, I am so grateful to you,

For your gift of the bouquet of blessings that is always beautiful, lovely and new.

 April's Different Faces

Cynthia Groopman

April enfolds us into many different embraces,

As she shows her many unique faces.

A moist wet face sad and lacking a smile,,

Is caused by teardrops of rain that linger for quite awhile.

Sunshine smiles dance on April's cheerful face,

With a softness as velvety lace.

April has a sparkling face as lovely as a beautiful springtime flower,

,

Fragrant with awesome emotional power.

Thus, as you can plainly see,

April's faces are constantly changing presenting a mystery to me.

 Carol,

Helen does prove many points in her discussion between the infidel and the believer.  I, of course, agree with the believer.  Scientists want to think a "big bang" started it all and to them I say, "Okay then, who created the big bang?"

Your friend,

David Fox
