From my son Steven Roach:

I was thinking you should advertise the link regularly in your newsletter if the link doesn’t work just cut and paste

http://greenhorse.com/join_now.ghc?r=177952857

tell them it would help support the newsletter and they can earn money from it. They need to sign up and install it but they don't need to do anything else. They just do what they normally would anyways on the net and they earn money while it’s on. In other words they just keep it running while they are online. It’s small doesn't take up much system resources and they can earn more if they advertise their own link and get people under them as well. Let them know some people make 5-10$ a day on it and its been open since 2002.

Don’t forget to order your copy of Angels Watching Over Me, the story of an ordinary woman facing less than ordinary challenges.  Angels Watching Over Me is a story of family love, sacrifices, poverty and an undying faith that makes heroes out of all of us. Here is the link in case you have forgotten it: http://www.lulu.com/content/964306

Important notice: Storytime Tapestry is a free e-zine, however donations are always needed to help with the operating expenses of running the newsletter and to keep Storytime Tapestry the quality newsletter you are so accustomed to.   You can make your donations to paypal at: winterose@videotron.ca, or if you would prefer to use the mail system contact the publisher at the same email address: winterose@videotron.ca

Today’s Story

A Lie or Fib.
Bill Walker
missourisage@yahoo.com

Strange lies, or fibs. Ever notice how we can come up with a little
white lie, or fib? I think if one looks back, they might remember
telling some little lie, or fib. Might be white, might also be on the
black side. But at the time a little lie or fib, might save the
day. Some lies or fibs are kind of smart, also in a way funny, and
might save the day, for a day or two, till the heat cools off. Then
there are the plain out and out stupid lies or fibs. The day was lost
right then and there by telling the stupid thing. Most lies will be
found out given time. There is always an out side chance it will fly
for a time. Untold numbers of people have been hurt, and hurt bad by
some lie, told by someone.

We can read of lies, fibs in the Bible, along with other crooked deals.
I think I can find one that would make any judge about fall off of his
seat. That is the one told in Exodus. Chapter 32, verse 24

And I said unto them, whosoever hath any gold. let them break it
off. So they gave it to me:
then I cast it into the fire, and came out this calf.

This was Aaron trying to explain to Moses what this thing was, and how
it came about. A flat out lie. Moses had just come down from talking
to God. Here Moses had been  told about making idols and such.
Here was this golden Calf the people had made.

The crazy thing is, he wanted Moses to believe the gold was thrown into
the fire, and this calf some how made itself, and walked out of the
fire. The most strange thing is as soon as it got out of the fire,
it never moved, or took another step. Talk about a lie or fib, this has
got to rank as the most stupid lie or fib in all of history. Just how
dumb, would Aaron and the people believe Moses to be?

Any fool knows one can melt gold, silver, or other metal. The thing
is you  will have a lump when it cools off. You will  have nothing
but a lump, unless some one molds it into some form of something, and it
sure isn't going to step out of the fire. Metal of no kind has the
ability to take the form of something, let alone a calf. It will be just
a lump of what ever metal when it cools off a bit. Aaron would have
Moses to believe this Golden Calf, got so hot in the fire, it walked out
on it's own, and cooled off. After it cooled off a bit it never took
another step or moved. Are you laughing??

A stupid lie or fib, that really was a looser the second it was out of
Aaron's mouth. This has got to be the all time dumbest lie ever told.
One can't blame Moses for throwing a fit. He should have broke the
tablets over Aaron's head, but then some stupid county
attorney of the day would have charged him with attempted murder.

Can't you just hear Moses? "You expect me to believe that? How stupid
do you think I am ? You are supposed to be in command of this mob,
while I was meeting with the Lord God. I think you are the dumb one,
I better start looking for a replacement for you buster. Any one
that has to lie, and can't think up one that might make sense for at
least a few minutes needs replacing. You Aaron are a nut case."

This has to rank as one of the most stupid lies or fibs, that was ever
said, or told by any fool. And Aaron sure was a fool to think any
one would have believed such a story.

I wonder how Aaron thought Moses would get it by God ? Here
Moses stands with the laws laid down by God. The first law, was,
No gods before me, or idols. And a golden calf sure ranks as an idol.

And now food for thought.

Speak of a man as you find him.
Answer alone what you see.
If a man be blamed, be reminded
from faults, there are none of us free
If the veil from the mind be torn,
thoughts written on a brow.
many would be passed by in scorn
that are loaded with honors now,
Many a good man is ruined,
And many a good woman too
by someone starting a rumor,
And not a word of it true,
So when you hear someone knocking
A man or woman's good name.
Bet it is a lie, forget it
Never repeat it again

Wiser Than Her Years

Conrad S. Cardinal

A young girl feels lost and alone.
Year after year, her despair has
grown.

She reaches out, no one is there.
Does anyone really care?

A heart full of love, a special child.
Living in a world, crazy and wild.

Some one please pay attention.
I’m dying under all this tension.

What matters most, a mystery to
you.
How do I show you, what can I
do?

There are many blessings in life.
You choose to live in turmoil and
strife.

Perhaps it’s time to return home,
there is work for me to do.
I've tried, but I can't help you.

Dry your tears, smile, don’t feel
sad for me.
This is where I want to be.

P. S.

My grand daughter passed

away after being hit by a car.

Some of the things she had

said and written indicate that

she may have had a feeling

about what was going to happen.

She seemed ready. She was

only 13 years old.
