From my son Steven Roach:

I was thinking you should advertise the link regularly in your newsletter if the link doesn’t work just cut and paste

tell them it would help support the newsletter and they can earn money from it. They need to sign up and install it but they don't need to do anything else. They just do what they normally would anyways on the net and they earn money while it’s on. In other words they just keep it running while they are online. It’s small doesn't take up much system resources and they can earn more if they advertise their own link and get people under them as well. Let them know some people make 5-10$ a day on it and its been open since 2002.

Don’t forget to order your copy of Angels Watching Over Me, the story of an ordinary woman facing less than ordinary challenges.  Angels Watching Over Me is a story of family love, sacrifices, poverty and an undying faith that makes heroes out of all of us. Here is the link in case you have forgotten it: http://www.lulu.com/content/964306

Important notice: Storytime Tapestry is a free e-zine, however donations are always needed to help with the operating expenses of running the newsletter and to keep Storytime Tapestry the quality newsletter you are so accustomed to.   You can make your donations to paypal at: winterose@videotron.ca, or if you would prefer to use the mail system contact the publisher at the same email address: winterose@videotron.ca

Today’s Story

You CAN Take It With You
by Clara Wersterfer
cbwest@webtv.net

A very rich man passed away and was found crying outside the Pearly Gates. When approached by an angel who asked why he was crying the man replied, "I have worked hard all my life and laid up many treasures. I had a lot of gold bars. I wanted to bring some with me, but found I couldn't." The angel comforted the man saying, 'Don't worry about your gold. Our streets are not in need of repair. We do not need more paving material.'

Makes you think, doesn't it? What do we have that would be worthy of taking to
heaven? Of what use is money? There's nothing you need buy. Heaven is not
marred by shopping malls or factory outlet stores. Stocks and bonds, gemstones and jewelry are worthless.

Forget those works of arts. Perhaps the old Masters are present in Heaven, busily painting the heavenly wonders. The streets are paved with gold and the dewdrops must look like
diamonds. Every desire of the heart is provided. Things we value most on Earth we would leave behind. Even if we were allowed to take things with us, why would we? What could we take that we wouldn't have in Heaven?

Unneeded items soon loose their value.  The thought came to me, there must be things that are a part of us and would not be left. First and foremost, we could take love. Love for our God and Savior. Love of our parents. Love for our children and our friends. We can also take memories. If we will know our loved ones in Heaven, then we have to take
some memories along. Surely we do not arrive with a blank slate where our brain should be.

I do not believe all memory is erased when we cross over. Perhaps bitter or unpleasant ones will be gone, but not the real and lasting ones. Other emotions, such as compassion
and happiness will also accompany us. Don't think I will need a suitcase to pack those things. When I get to the gate of Heaven I may appear to be empty handed, but I won't be. You just won't be able to see my heart full of love, or my head full of
memories.

I believe I can take it with me.

  What the World Needs

Cynthia Groopman

What the world truly needs, oh Dear Lord of mine,

Are clear blue skies and golden radiant glowing sunshine.

What the world truly needs is lots of food to sustain all nations,To rid the world of disease, sadness and starvation..

What the world truly needs are people who display positive outrage,

Protesting against the terror, poverty, misery, famine and polution tormenting life's stage.

What the world needs are a tapestry of love woven from different fabrics, nationalities and races,

With smiles beaming and dancing onto a splendid rainbow of mirthful faces

What the world truly needs is a world devoid of terror, fright and raging war,

As well  as equal opportunity in opening freedom's golden door.

For all of these, dear God, I truly request,

For souls to be free of dismay, anger, hostility and seek peaceful rest.
