Dr. Harmander Singh

“What a shame, did you visit Australia after some years?” he asks.

“I could have. You see my friends send me a sponsor letter to visit and meet my friends and deliver lectures. Then I did not have enough desire and funds, so I could not go,” I say.

“I just wonder about it, your friends could have managed some other legal way, is not it,” he says.

“You know, they did what one can do. You see one of the Australian girl, whom I treated as a sister, offered three times, even after my coming back to India that I should marry her just to get the PR in Australia. However, the reason I say, though people laugh, that I requested her that it is not our custom and my conscience does not allow accepting such proposal. The sister remains a sister, though for some people it does not matter,” I say.

“Wow, it is exceptional, she wanted to help you out of the way. It is up to our voice of conscience, is not it,” he says.

“Yaw, I always remember that such people are beyond the cultures and the countries, they are the universal people,” I say.
