Today’s Announcements

Happy 4th of July all our American Friends, Cynthia Groopman has provided a poem to celebrate the American Independence.

Pamela Blaine has some wonderful news she would like to share with everyone.

http://www.twolittlemonkeys.org/MonkeyoftheMonth_July.htm

I was excited and wanted to share this with everyone.  See the above link.  My Granddaughter, Rowan, is "Monkey of the Month" and her story is on here with pictures and how they helped her at Shriners Hosptial in Philadelphia.  It is amazing how she has gone from an arm that was completely limp to where she is now.  The account is fairly long but it takes you through from beginning to the present as to what happened with Rowan.  We feel blessed that God has brought her this far and she is a healthy, happy little girl.

Thanks to all of you who have been praying over the last four years you can definitely see results.

How Great is our God!!

Pam

P.S.

If anyone needs a t-shirt for kids or grandkids the money will go straight to the  brachial plexus team at Shriners to help kids like Rowan.

tell them it would help support the newsletter and they can earn money from it. They need to sign up and install it but they don't need to do anything else. They just do what they normally would anyways on the net and they earn money while it’s on. In other words they just keep it running while they are online. It’s small doesn't take up much system resources and they can earn more if they advertise their own link and get people under them as well. Let them know some people make 5-10$ a day on it and its been open since 2002.

Don’t forget to order your copy of Angels Watching Over Me, the story of an ordinary woman facing less than ordinary challenges.  Angels Watching Over Me is a story of family love, sacrifices, poverty and an undying faith that makes heroes out of all of us. Fire flies

Bob Shaw

So many things have changed over the years. New things have taken the place of old, and so many things have disappeared. One of the old things I haven’t seen for years was the little lights in the yard called fire flies, or lightning bugs. They just didn’t seem to be around anymore.

Last night, we had the windows up, enjoying a cool gentle breeze. From years of habit, I still wake up around 2 AM, and happened to look outside. The yard was full of fire flies. I woke Ronni up, and told her to look out the window. She was as surprised as I was at the sight, and we just sat and admired the view for an hour or so.     It reminded me of the story about a little boy and his Grandpa, sitting on the front porch. The mosquito’s were getting pretty bad, so his Grandpa got up to turn off the light. As he sat back down, the little boy said “it ain’t gonna help Grandpa, they’re commin’ back with flashlights”.

It’s nice to see that some things haven’t changed. The little critters brought back some good memories. We’ll be watching for them tonight, and enjoy the light show all over again.

Oh Beloved Nation

Cynthia Groopman

Oh, beloved nation,

I embrace you with deep affection and elation.

The holy light of freedom and liberty,

Are blessings bestowed upon you and to me.

A vast land with purple mountains and fruited plains, are you,

With sunshine, and skies so beautiful and blue.

A tapestry of smiling rainbow faces,

Shaking hand in brotherhood's warm, fond embraces.

The melodies of different languages are spoken and being heard,

Sweetness and blessings are said in every word.

Oh, dearest, beloved nation,

We honor and cherish you with mirthful celebration.

Summer's Smiling Face

Cynthia Groopman

Oh, summer, your face has such an exquisite warm and bright smile,

Adding mirth to a brand new season's glorious style.

Glowing sunshine beams all about,

As children merrily prance, run play and gleefully shout.

Green leaves dance in the mild breeze,

As summer plays with them in a jocund tease.

Days are beautiful and long,

Sunshine is radiantly strong

For summer's majesty regally crowns splendor in every place,,

As we are gently caressed by her golden shining and joyful smiling face.
