I was thinking you should advertise the link regularly in your newsletter if the link doesn’t work just cut and paste

tell them it would help support the newsletter and they can earn money from it. They need to sign up and install it but they don't need to do anything else. They just do what they normally would anyways on the net and they earn money while it’s on. In other words they just keep it running while they are online. It’s small doesn't take up much system resources and they can earn more if they advertise their own link and get people under them as well. Let them know some people make 5-10$ a day on it and its been open since 2002.

Don’t forget to order your copy of Angels Watching Over Me, the story of an ordinary woman facing less than ordinary challenges.  Angels Watching Over Me is a story of family love, sacrifices, poverty and an undying faith that makes heroes out of all of us. Here is the link in case you have forgotten it: http://www.lulu.com/content/964306

Important notice: Storytime Tapestry is a free e-zine, however donations are always needed to help with the operating expenses of running the newsletter and to keep Storytime Tapestry the quality newsletter you are so accustomed to.   You can make your donations to paypal at: winterose@videotron.ca, or if you would prefer to use the mail system contact the publisher at the same email address: winterose@videotron.ca

BRAVING THE FALL

Ellie Braun Haley

The Niagara Falls tour group crowded into the large elevator and as the elevator doors closed I turned to the group and introduced myself, “Hi, I’m Ellie, your guide. Generally we sing a song going down. What would you like to sing?”

A gentleman suggested a familiar song and the entire group was soon belting it out.

The doors opened and I stepped out leading the group. In moments I turned and smiled at the sightseers, “People, I’m not really your tour guide, but have a great day!”

There followed three seconds of silence, then laughter and light applause. With the ice broken, and a shared sense of adventure
we went to see the Falls.
Ellie Braun-Haley

FOOTNOTE:
In our anthropology classes we discussed the actions or inactions of others on elevators. Such enclosures seem unlikely locations to strike up conversations. People look at their watch, the walls, advertisements, anywhere but at you. There truly appear to be unwritten rules for elevator riding, but it is fun to test the waters and perhaps some rules can be bent a bit now and then. I have found occasion to make new friends on elevators. The Niagara trip was wonderful and strangely enough the elevator encounter is one of the highlights of that day!

I leave you with this thought which hit me yesterday
as I stood in the wind, amidst the astounding rain
of pink and white blossoms
in my daughter's back yard:

Even though the wind
has whisked away
the beauty of the blossoms,
The promise of fruit remains.

A Tribute To Summertime
Cynthia Groopman

Dear sweet summertime, you are truly crowned with magnificent splendor
as you caress us with sunny smiles that are loving and tender.
For such a long time we have patiently waited for you to arrive,
as you usher us into an enchanted land,
where birds sing and flowers fragrantly flourish and thrive.
The price of youth, galloping on your horse so snowy white,
oh, summertime, you bathe us in such soft precious sunlight.
A picnic in the lush green park and a cool ocean swim,
keeps us happy, healthy and trim.
Memories of happy times, we joyfully share,
as your elegant floral bouquets gently perfume the summer air.
For summertime, we treasure you dearly and love you so very much,
for you enliven our winter weary hearts with a charming golden touch.

Today is the End of the School Year

Cynthia Groopman

Today is the end of the school year,

Children are smiling with hearts full of joy and cheer.

No longer do they have to wake up so early in the morning,

Nor leave for school tired and yawning

Assignments and homework do not have to be submitted or hurriedly done,

Children swim, frolic in the park, and enjoy their freedom and fun..

So, for 70 days school is out,

Children jump for joy and gleefully shout.
