From my son Steven Roach:
I was thinking you should
advertise the link regularly in your newsletter if
the link doesn’t work just cut and paste
http://greenhorse.com/join_now.ghc?r=177952857
tell them it
would help support the newsletter and they can earn money from it. They need to
sign up and install it but they don't need to do anything else. They just do
what they normally would anyways on the net and they earn money while it’s on.
In other words they just keep it running while they are online. It’s small
doesn't take up much system resources and they can earn more if they advertise
their own link and get people under them as well. Let them know some people
make 5-10$ a day on it and its been open since 2002.
Don’t forget to order your copy of Angels
Watching Over Me, the story of an ordinary woman facing less than ordinary
challenges. Angels Watching Over Me is
a story of family love, sacrifices, poverty and an undying faith that makes
heroes out of all of us. Here is the link in case you have forgotten it: http://www.lulu.com/content/964306
Important notice: Storytime Tapestry is a free e-zine, however donations
are always needed to help with the operating expenses of running the newsletter
and to keep Storytime Tapestry the quality newsletter you are so accustomed
to. You can make your donations to
paypal at: winterose@videotron.ca, or if you would prefer to use the mail
system contact the publisher at the same email address: winterose@videotron.ca

Big Brown
Bill Walker
missourisage@yahoo.com
We may never know why Big Brown pulled up in the horse race the other
day. But I was thinking and a few things came to my mind on the
subject.
It was a known fact the horse had a little problem with one foot, or
hoof in this case. Maybe it did hurt just a bit. Your hoof hurts a
bit, you walk or run a bit different don't you? A certain Dollie was
telling me she stubbed a toe eight weeks back, she thinks she has a
fracture of a little toe, you know the runt of the family of five
toes. She a smart Dollie, and somewhere she remembers an old story,
there is no need of going to a doctor for such. It has been eight
weeks and the little fellow still hurts, and is swelling or is that
smelling? I told her, maybe she better forget the old story, and go
flip flopping and see a doctor.
Now Big Brown the horse, his hoof just might have not
felt up to hoofing
the track that day. There might have been something else
also. But remember every one has an off day, animals also.
I have long believed animals talk to one another. Maybe on the easy
walk around the track, Big Brown said something to another, about his
one hoof hurt a little bit, maybe one of the others said, you
better take it easy, remember what happened to Eight Belles?
Now in the race its self, he was right up there about 3 or 4 from the
front one, and all at once he got to thinking what was said, and he
slowed down, falling behind to the rear. He finished the race dead last,
and it was just like he ran out of gas.
Well, so what? Even the humans will do that too. You hurt
yourself doing something that you are good at, you also will pull up
on what ever you're just great at, and might finish dead last. You know
your stubbed little toe, you know that sucker sure can hurt. You
might be a great dancer, well stub a little toe, and you might learn a
new dance step.
It isn't that the horse isn't a great race horse, he just wasn't up to
it that day. He will have more days at the race track, and he,
like the others that ran that day, will find themselves back in the
field living a pretty good life. He was smart enough that he knew
he wasn't up to par, so he just pulled up. And he had a smart rider
that day. The man didn't try to whip him on down the track.
Remember a horse race is like many other things. In any work, or
sport, things can happen. A winner can win most of the time,
but there comes a day, even the best will have an off day. You know like
a certain Dollie, stub toe, and limp around. I think in her
case, she gets hubby to do a little extra housework.

"RING THE BELLS OF
FREEDOM"
by
Joyce L. Blume
Ring the bells of freedom,
On this 4th. day of July,
And listen for the shrilling sounds,
Of the many who did die!
Wave the Royal Banner,
On this 4th. day of July,
Lift it high toward the heavens,
In honor of the many who did die!
Join hearts and hands together,
To form a ring great and wide,
Keep safe her many memories,
Encircled deep and safe inside!
Her colors have great meaning,
Her Red, her White, her Blue.
Yes, her colors do remind us,
To be faithful, brave and true.
Her Red, stands for the blood shed,
For the likes of you and me.
If it were not for blood shed,
America would not be, FREE!
Her White, stands for her purity
It shines both day and night,
To lift the hopes of many.
As it sheds abroad it's light.
Her Blue, reflects the heavens,
So, look up toward the sky,
And remember those who did sacrifice,
On this, 4th. day of July!!
++++++++++++
Also remember the Blood shed of our Saviour,
who gave us our Spiritual Freedom!
