I have decided to post some of my old stories so that new members may enjoy them and old members can reread them as they wish.

?

Since they are old stories, I will post just an excerpt and ask that you follow the link to read the rest of the story.? I hope this method of posting older stories will not deter anyone from reading them.? I am starting to publish them on Associated Content.? The only way I will get paid is if my loyal friends will support me just by going to site to read them.? I will not get much money for them, but with my tight financial situation everything helps.

?

I thank you in advance for helping me out while you still get to read a wonderful story from me - one of your favourite writers and friends. Think of it as your way to help Storytime Tapestry and keep it up and running.

?

P.S.? I you could add a comment even just to say good work, or I like your story, I will know that you were there.

About the story:

Technical Drawing is the story of what I would say was my very worst teacher, and very worst course choice in the 22 years that I have spent in school from elementary school to university. ???

?

Excerpt from the story:

?

Since the fourth grade, Maxine had been my best friend and my only real friend. Though we had shared so many things in common, she was also very different from me in many ways. She was so self-confident and eager to take on new challenges. I was her shadow and I was too insecure to do anything on my own. I only wished that I could be like her and be willing to take on new experiences and enjoy them for what they were worth. Yet, because of my sheltered upbringing I clung to what I knew and was afraid of the unknown. I also clung to Maxine and did everything that she did without much thought.

Later when it came time to choose our courses for high school, although I had some ideas of my own as to what I wanted to do I went with Maxine's choices because I wanted to be in every class she had. It wasn't as if Maxine did not encouragement me to go with my own choices it was that I just could not bear to be in a classroom without her.
