Poem. Light of the World.

Chris Hansen

Lord, Jesus, you are my light!

Though I walk in darkness on the earth.

You shine through the night,

Though I was blinded at my birth.

Sight must be a wonder to behold!

I can only imagine the beauty that must be there.

One day, for me, Jesus, you will unfold,

beauty for me to see, and I will see how much you care.

As awesome as that is,

Jesus, you have shown me an even greater kindness.

Jesus, knowing your Father, and knowing that the universe is his,

helps me stroll with a smile through my blindness.

Why? I can still recall,

my absolute terror at knowing that I would die!

And, it doesn't really matter at all,

whether you face that with a scream, or with a sigh.

It really doesn't matter if you can see,

or if you walk around this world, blind.

Knowing that you will wither like some dying tree,

is enough to make you lose your mind!

The greatest light

that I have ever seen

is holding your hand, Jesus, through the night

and knowing that my tree of life will once again be green,

though, now, it is near winter, and growing cold, and, comes the night!

Author:

"Revelation Revisited."

Visions of heaven, hell, antichrist, cosmic calamity, all, clearly explained and

dramatized.

"Secret of the Psalms."

A thousand years before Jesus was born, God moved supernaturally through the Psalmists allowing them to predict in uncanny detail the life of Jesus. God meant us to have confidence in his Word.

"Grandfather's Journal."

This illustrated children's book is full of humor and tells the touching story of a young boy who loses his terror of death by reading his Christian grandfather's final journal entries.
