Today's Special Treat

This friend sent me a note from Dora Alabama today.

A kid Mitchell Lachance wandered out of his yard and took off. "He just walked out in the woods", said his dad.

Firefighters, police and neighbors scoured the woods in a four hour search. With the search getting late, a neighbor and his dog Sasha joined in. The dog could hear Mitchell, but the neighbor couldn't. Sasha went right to Mitchell, he was in a ravine, and therewas a bunch of brush said Sasha's owner.

"She went right through the brush. She was all over him and the little kid was petting her."

Sasha has only three legs. She has no rescue training. The neighbor said she was picked up as a stray sometime last year. She had been hit by a car and lost a back leg.

They've been real close ever since. Mitchell, the kid, is now safe at home and doesn't seem to remember his adventure
