Delina summed up the situation and decided to finish what she was doing.  She ignored him and returned to tend to her damaged toe.

???What have you done,??? he asked.

???Nothing??¦I got a sliver and had to dig it out,??? she answered truthfully without looking up.

???Oh and how did you manage to do that?  Everything around here looks polished,???
 he said looking around.

???It was an accident, but it doesn??™t matter as it has stopped bleeding,??? she said quickly walking over to her trunk and standing defiantly looking at him, while she casually dropped the soiled cloth upon the floor.

???Have it your way, but you??™d best get dressed now, unless of course you would like me to assist you.  I am not averse to watching a pretty woman change her attire in front of me, he said suggestively.

Lowering her eyes quickly, Delina said, ???If you wait outside, I will be ready in just a few minutes.???

For a few minutes he stood looking at her, then shaking his head, he said, ???You just had almost an hour and couldn??™t manage to get one stocking on, yet here you stand suggesting I leave the room for a few minutes while you dress.  Shall I be an old man in the time it takes you to get ready,??? he asked raising his eyebrow sardonically.

Fidgeting, she played with a loose thread on the sleeve of her nightdress.  She was certain that one wrong word would find her in a heap of trouble, yet she was not sure which side of the line she wanted to tread.  Taking a deep sigh, she raised her eyes to observe his expression, before saying one word.  As there eyes met, it was as if ball lightning ripping through her chest.  She almost groaned aloud as her body began to tingle with anticipation.  At first, she wanted to torment and taunt him, but as the various expressions crossed his face, she knew, without a doubt, that she would be biting off more than she could ever hope to chew.

Finally, cowering with indecision, she said, ???I shall only be a few minutes??¦I promise??¦would you like to time me????

???No, I don??™t think so??¦I think I shall just stand here and wait for you.  I suggest you get a move on as I have to be up on deck in less then ten minutes,??? he said casually leaning against the corner of her wardrobe with his arms crossed and eyes ever watchful.

Delina looked at him attempting to measure his seriousness.  When she realized he meant what he said, she just stood there eyes imploring him to take pity on her before stating, ???I can??™t undress with you in here
