STORYTIME TAPESTRY
Can you believe it? We have had two hundred writers share their work with us here in Storytime Tapestry. The new writer who carries the honour of being named the Writer # 200 for Storytime Tapestry is Pam Patterson. She is a very gifted poet and I certainly you all to encourage her to continually write for us. I want to thank David Wainland for recommending her to me. Pam and I go back together to a publishing site called Pearlsoup. I am very happy to have her aboard. Congratulations goes out to Ken Swarner who is our newest senior writer. Now on to the good stuff.......... Animal awareness
series endorsed by Maxx Pam Patterson He was??¦ small, black,
insistent, a barking seal always underfoot. Low to the ground clicking across the
floor he dragged the uniball
full in pursuit of food, family
or a rawhide chew. Old, half-blind, riddled with ailments
that would fell a human
counterpart he clicked along, secure in his love and place, until
death caught up quickly,
painlessly??¦
leaving a void in the
hearts of the pack he left
behind. We miss you Maxxie

I don't get around to reading that old book called the spin on it. Today's Queue
Stories Value of a
Diamond Bill
Walker The value of a diamond just is I guess the
size, and shape, and the color, and flaws it may have. You may not think
much about it each and every time you put it on, or look at it. I have seen the
girl showing off her ring to others. I wonder if the size and so on is the
amount of love some fellow has for said girl? I would think maybe. But
then on the other hand he also is thinking something else. This is the size of
his small bank roll. It may be the best he can do at this time. He
may say, and have told her so. ???Honey, someday I can get a much better one
for you, will this do till then?" If there is true love, the size
doesn??™t really matter. There is another thing here also. A
diamond, no matter the size means something to someone. It may be a small one,
didn't cost much at the time of buying. But the value grew as time marched
on. Not in dollars maybe, but in value to the one that wears it. They think back
to the day it was placed on finger the first time. They remember that time and
all the times since. The happy times, the sad times, and the hard times, also
the good times. I guess that covers the times. That diamond will bring back
memories of many times. Size is not so important after all. Lose that
diamond and you lose a lot. This put me to thinking about another kind
of diamond. Each life is a diamond. No two is a like. Most of us are just
small diamonds. We too have a color, a shape, a size, and a flaw.
Some have a few of those, flaws that is. Why you think a woman takes a
man for? She done got the flaws wrote down and now she going to work on them. He
never knows he had so many flaws till he said, 'I
do." Now like I said, loss of the diamond
sometimes is a great loss. This is the same when you loose someone or
something dear to you. Even a friendship is like loosing a
diamond. A lady wrote me and was telling me about the
loss of her Dear Mother, getting close to a year now. The lady lost a very
valuable diamond. A Mother is a very valuable diamond. There is no other
diamond that can replace it. It is like a diamond I was reading about the other
day. This woman received the news, and at last
seen the body of her only son killed in action in that so called war. She
had lost a large diamond. She died herself in a couple hours. That diamond was
everything to her. She could not go on living
herself. You never know the true value of a diamond
is, till you no longer have it. Makes no difference if it is one on the
finger, or a loved one. Even one that walks on four paws can be
a valuable diamond.
About
Me: Well I??™m a story teller, not a writer. Never learned the art of fancy English. I happen to live in Nebraska, but I??™m still Missouri. Never married, all the Dollies I ever took a second look at was too smart. Now at 74, just turned that other day, I figure they all home safe. I love Doggies and Dollies in that order. Lost my two true friends this year, that be Tinker and Poo. So I found me a new one. This time a little girlie Peke. She is a normal female. Got a mouth, talks all the time. She will never be a great writers of stories like Tinker and Poo. They have about 50 stories on HWS. And now writing back from Rainbow Bridge. I just try to write about people, places and things best I remember. Have something over 250 stories on HWS. under three names. ~**~**~ The Swarner Walking

Feedback I just love to hear Bill Walker's side of things
like 'The Book says!" Makes a lot of sense to me plus I enjoyed
his 'Four seasons' which is oh so true!
NormaLee I'm so busy and enjoyed couple things but feel guilty when I can't read all christian news. love and peace, bob This one was a very good issue. Bill Walker had me thinking of my own
views about the bible and Irish Warlock recanted many of the thoughts I've had
about love myself. Carol, A response to "A Very Special Child" - this is simply beautiful. After a series of four miscarriages at the age of 44 I finally gave birth to my beautiful little girl. Ten months later my handsome son was born 3 and a half months early. Both of my children are doing fine and they are indeed blessings like you described. Thanks for sharing this passage. Peace and happiness ??“ Vona What a magical
explanation of adoption! This was a very well written story and quite a
way to explain to a child that he is special. All children are special and
I agree that giving birth does not a mother make. God bless,
Sharlett
