TAPESTRY The Newsletter
devoted to spreading love and cultural awareness throughout the
world
Your heart may be calling you to make a change Julie Jordan Scott The Lady and the Sea Carol
roach The
fishermen are pulling in their nets. Hundreds of fishes are hauled to the
shores. Vendors and townsfolk alike wait patiently to bid upon the catch
of the day. People are dressed in all kinds of garb: shorts, slacks,
dresses, jeans. Colours abound: red, yellow, green, blue denim, and white.
The scene is a kaleidoscope of colour brimming over with activity. My
passion for writing is hot and steamy such as this seaside scene. My mind
is as busy as the activity of this little port. My thoughts and my emotions
cannot be contained within the basin of my mind. Though I cast nets to reel
them in, more thoughts and emotions burst through the seams. They are
overflowing, abundant, alive, and exhilarating. My ideas must be set free to
rejuvenate, revamp, and repopulate that great sea of my mind. The
depths of my soul spew out the colours of sorrow, confusion, frustration, joy,
happiness, success, achievement, and wonderful bliss. The heat of my passion is
aroused. My soul cannot be quenched; I long to be Neptune's
Bride And
then I see her; the goddess, on board an ocean liner. She is beautiful,
she is majestic and she is carefree. I see her gentle face, her aquiline
nose. Her deep blue eyes hold the mystery of life. Luscious ruby lips turn
up at the edges in a provocative smile that beguiles and mesmerizes all who gaze
upon her beauty. With her long blonde hair flowing as freeing as her white
silk robe that dances in the wind, she beckons every one to come to her; to
revel in her beauty. The fishermen, the vendors and the peasants on the
shore stop a moment and watch her, as the ocean liner approaches. They wait
in anticipation of promise yet to come. I
look at the goddess and know that she is me. I am the queen of the sea as
I spew forth my words, inspired by Neptune, Poseidon, and me. Carol
