Lavender

? Lavender, I remember its scent released into the warm summer air as I brushed against its long skirts overflowing from border to path.

? 

I remember picking its leaves, rubbing them between my fingers, then bringing those fingers to my nose to inhale deeply their bliss inducing scent.

? 

I remember dropping fresh lavender leaves into my candle flame and watching the oil release under the intense heat, flare and give its delicious sacred aroma to the world.

? 

I remember picking late season sun dried lavender flowers, bringing them into my home and setting them in every room to recapture the gift of summer through the cold, dark winter ahead.

? 

I remember the bottle of lavender essential oil, ever present on my desk, waiting for me to pour drops onto my palms and bury my nose into its exquisite healing.

? 

I remember the smell of lavender in my soul as I flow its healing out into the world.
