Summer Solstice

My space is in the midst of a great redwood forest.?  Birdsong fills the air and brilliant rays of sunlight filter through the enormous old trees, warming the earth.?  A nearby brook tinkles softly, its quiet tune blending with that of the birds??”across it, a wooden bridge offers passage to the other side.? 
A tall woman, graceful in her presence, dressed in the long white garb of a priestess sits silently near the water intently studying its movement.?  Bright orange?  butterflies dance around her before fluttering off to the yellow and violet woodland flowers, lighting here and there for a brief moment in their frivolous exploration.
The path between the ancient trees is well-worn with paw prints and foot prints, evidence of the animals dwelling here, and of the band of soldiers who recently passed through on their way to yet another battle.
The wee fairy folk are plentiful, populating both flower bushes and the lush bunches near the earth.?  The buzz of joyful anticipation is in the air. It's time for rejoicing and celebration.?  The Queen of Summer has come at last; her presence a promise of fair skies and sunshine once again.
