Super Special Rainbow Bridge Report

Tinker, Poo and The Gang

tinkerpoo2000@yahoo.com

The last few days we have seen larger numbers of our kind coming up the lane, being checked in by the over worked Angel Dollies. Each tell much the same story. Now we say our kind, that is of the Animal Kingdom. There seems to? be larger numbers of your kind going cross the bridge also. Some stop and are? met with some of our kind.? ?  We noticed the talk of these that are coming by in great numbers.?  Some like Auggie, Pops and others says well these are people from the south, can't you pick up on the talk? ? It isn't Yankee talk,? it southern talk, deep southern.

We that has been here for some time found out what happened.?  Seem there was? a super size? storm that hit right on the coast line around Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana,?  It was a super storm, super high winds, super large amounts of sheets of rain.?  People, some grabbed a few things, and left town in a hurry, leaving house, home and others behind. Where?  they went we don't know,?  that is the story told by some. All they know they were left behind, to get along best they could.

The water level came up, there is people, animals floating around, some alive, some dead.?  Those that are alive it is just a matter of time, they too are dead. These are just the poor left behinds, both human and animals.? The house or shed these were left in is now gone, gone with the wind. Even well built houses, buildings is blown apart. Us little people knows of no where to turn to get in out of this mess, our people has for saken us, left in a rush leaving us to fend for our selves. A case of every man, woman and child for themselves. Us little people are left behind. A lot of your kind is in the same boat, the poor people, no way out of Dodge. Forgot about, leave them, tough if they can't leave.

We also hear after the storm, here comes the big shots, be sure and dot the "O".? ?  They fly in by super size jets. Get out talk to a few of the big shots that they seem to know.. Again be sure and dot the "O".?  They wave, face changes from smile to a put on sad face.?  They wave to a large crown of people that lived through the storm. Never trouble them selves to talk to them, hop back on plane, with these words. "I had some good times in this city?  some years ago, a lot of empty bottles I left behind. See you, I'm out of here."? ?  Now this is the gang to a fur ? ball, If we stepped on toes, BARK BARK, we meant to.?  The cats even agreed for once. Missy Gene said she felt like throwing a hissy. "Heartless fearless leader."?

Then here comes the people that is said to get us out of these mess. Some deal, yea they do get some packed up and out. A little boy has his little people with him. The wheels tell his mother, you and your kids can get on the truck, dog no, it is only a dog, leave it. Just how heartless can people be? What is the poor dog to do??

People, a nation is judged by a few things.?  How it takes care of it's people, both rich and poor, the young and old. It is also? judged by the way the people treats us Little People, both large and small.?  People of the United States, you have been judged. You have been found lacking in all counts.?  You take care of the bigs, the littles can get by the best way they know how.?

Yes Mr. Speaker of The House of Congress. We heard your stupid remarks also. "So What."?  Remember this Mr. Speaker, God heard the remarks also.?  Those was poor people that took the blunt of the storm, both whites and blacks. Poor animals that was left behind also. All has feelings.

We and God has heard the remarks made by others. Remember this, there was a lot of good people that lived in these places hit by the storm.?  Remember the rich, the gangsters and the sin makers as you called them got out of Dodge first. Yes God heard you last Sunday Mr.Preacher? talking about the sin city of New Orleans.?  If there was good people that lived there, must have been a lot of us Little People lived there also. And we know we are Good Little People. None of us sinned against God.

Yes our gang just got larger, and we know in coming days there will be more coming. The un wanted, the starving, the homeless.?  Remember tonight when you go to bed, there is lots of us Little People that has no home any longer, no food any longer, no clean water any longer. Our people has went away for some reason to leave us, to make it on our own some how.?  We also notice and hear many of your kind is in the same boat. YET.

About Me:

Well I??™m a story teller, not a writer. Never learned the art of fancy English. Ihappen to live in Nebraska, but I??™m still Missouri. Never married, all the Dollies I ever took a second look at was too smart. Now at 74, just turned that other day, I figure they all home safe. I love Doggies and Dollies in that order. Lost my two true friends this year, that be Tinker and Poo. So I found me a new one. This time a little girlie Peke. She is a normal female. Got a mouth, talks all the time. She will never be a great writers of stories like Tinker and Poo. They have about 50 stories on HWS. And now writing back from Rainbow Bridge.

I just try to write about people, places and things best I remember. Have something over 250 stories on HWS. under three names.? ? ?

Good Morning, Folks !!!

Sandra Lewis Pringle
? ? ? ? ? ? ?  Don't be deceived, my dear brothers.?  Every good and perfect gift is
from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, Who does not change like shifting shadows.
? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ?  James 1:16-17

? ? ?  It is an injustice to God, to receive something, and not give Him the credit for it, the due praise and honor.

? ? ?  We are to acknowledge God, in all the good things He sends our way.
Regardless of how trivial the blessing, we must praise Him, and show Him
our thankfulness.

? ? ? ?  I love bluebirds.? ?  Often, I will see them dart across in front of me, as I drive, and when they do, I give thanks.? ?  I think God sends them often, because I thank Him for it.? ?  I don't think I would see quite so many, if I didn't.

? ? ? ?  If we have a habit of thankfulness and a spirit of appreciation,?  and we thank Him for the blessings we see each day. . . . the birds, our favorite flowers blooming, smiles from strangers, an opened door, we shall see more of His goodness.? ?  God lets us know in many ways, that He is near us, dear to us, and that we are dear to Him.

? ? ?  Praise God for His good and perfect gifts, which we all see, every day.

ADVENTURES

By: Joseph J. Mazzella

? ? ? ?  Growing up in my grandmother??™s house as a boy was always an adventure when the relatives would visit. The food would be filled with extra garlic, parsley, and other spices. The smell of homemade bread and slow cooked tomato sauce would fill our noses with bliss. The dinner later would fill our stomachs with spaghetti and meatballs and our hearts with contentment as well. The air would be filled with Italian words both good and not so good. The talk would be excited and you always knew to sit a few feet away from those talking so that a hand gesture or waving arm didn??™t accidently hit you in the face. There would be more laughter, more stories, and more jokes than you could keep track of. There would be more hugs, more tears, and also more smiles as well. It was always such a beautiful adventure in living. You could always feel the love and joy flowing from heart to heart and from soul to soul.

? ? ? ?  I wish the world had more adventures of this type. We all need more adventures that excite our hearts and nourish our souls. We all need more adventures in becoming the people that God meant for us to become. We all need more adventures in loving, laughing, giving, and caring. We all need to share more smiles together, more hugs together, and more tears together. We all need more family dinners. We all need more simple evenings filled with talk and togetherness. We all need to spend more time remembering how we are all one family put here by God to love each other and to share joy with each other.

? ? ? ?  I hope that all of your adventures are loving ones then. I hope that all of your adventures bring you closer to God. I hope that all of your adventures help you to share your heart??™s love and your soul??™s joy with your family, your friends, and the entire world.

A Weekly Column

HEY, JUDE

Joseph Walker

Jon was outraged ??“ or at least, as outraged as a 13-year-old boy can be.

? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ?  ???This song,??? he sniffed, ???is AWFUL!???

? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ?  Generally, I don??™t pay much attention to comments teenagers make about the music of my generation. How can eardrums pounded into commercial submission by the likes of Eminem and Fifty (pronounced ???Fitty??? ??“ I??™m not joking) Cent hope to understand the subtle rhythmic nuances of the Moody Blues or the potent musicality of Chicago?

But ???this song??? was ???Hey, Jude??? by the Beatles ??“ by most accounts one of the greatest songs of the rock-n-roll era.It has gentle passages. It has hard-driving licks. It has at least one really good scream by Paul McCartney.I couldn??™t let Jon??™s uninformed dig pass unchallenged.

???This song,??? I sniffed right back, ???is simply the most successful song ever released by the greatest popular musical group of all time.It sold more than five million copies in six months and is still being played on music stations all around the world 37 years after it was recorded.YOUR music will be as outdated as my polyester bellbottoms next week.???

???But listen to it, Dad,??? Jon protested.???LISTEN to it!???

I looked at my son as if for the first time.Never mind that he is almost an exact replica of me at 13 ??“ this couldn??™t possibly be my child. He may very well have my height, my dimples and my disposition, but if he doesn??™t have my music in his soul it??™s time to re-write the will.

I took a deep breath.Perhaps if I explained the song to him a little he would understand it more.I talked to him about the Beatles, and where they were on their musical journey in 1968.I told him how the group had evolved through the years and how they were soon to disband and go their separate ways.I explained Yoko Ono.

Well, as much as one can explain Yoko Ono.

I tried to help him see how this song mirrored one of the most chaotic, frenzied years of a chaotic, frenzied era: the U.S.S. Pueblo incident in North Korea, the Tet Offensive, the Battle of Saigon, the My Lai Massacre, the assassinations of Martin Luther King Jr. and Robert Kennedy, the Democratic National Convention, student riots, ???Rosemary??™s Baby,??? the ???black power??? protests at the Mexico City Olympics, the election of Richard M. Nixon.

It took all seven minutes and 11 seconds of the song??™s then-unprecedented running time to get through it all, but finally I thought I saw the slightest ray of understanding on his adolescent face.

???I think I sort of understand what you??™re talking about,??? Jon said.???But I still don??™t think its right to make fun of the Jews.???

Now it was my turn to be confused.

???The Jews???? I repeated.???I don??™t think I said anything about Jewish people.???

???But the song does,??? he said, an unspoken ???well, DUH!??? written all over his face.???It says `Hey Jews??™ over and over again, and I just think . . ???

???What a second,??? I said, trying really hard not to laugh.???Did you say `Hey Jews??™????

???No,??? he continued, ???the Beatles did.And I just think that??™s wrong, no matter what the North Koreans were doing to Yoko Ono at the Democratic National Convention.???

Now, I??™ve got to be honest.Part of me is pleased that Jon was outraged by a perceived slight to another religious denomination.Another part of me is hoping that his father (uh, I??™m still assuming here that this would be me) will eventually learn to listen before he lectures. But now there??™s this other part of me that is suddenly, inexplicably, enigmatically wondering: what WERE the North Koreans doing to Yoko Ono at the Democratic National Convention?

Writers Feedback

Norma Lee Liles story really touched my heart. My Mom died when I was a little girl of 8 so My grandmother took care of me my sister and brother until Dad remarried. Actually I had 2 Grandmother's and 2 great grandmothers?  I was very fortunate as i loved them all and learned many things from them all too. Now i have 12 grand children of my?  own and 7 great grand children and there is enough love for all of them?  I love them all?  and as each one arrives the love just keeps growing with each birth. What joy they aree and such wonderful blessings I get.
