Operation We Care is happy to announce that 3,172 Christmas cards, letters and
emails? have been shipped to Iraq for our
troops.
I also shipped out 479
DVD's.
?
I would like to thank everyone who sent cards, who
wrote letters, who sent DVD's and money to help with shipping, and to those who
sent email greetings? to give me a hand in this year's project.
?
I cannot express enough thanks to? all the
school? children and the teachers from many? cities and towns in Alabama? who made
this a project for the kids.? I read every single card and letter the kids
wrote.? So many have father's, brothers, and? uncles, in Iraq.?
Some of the cards were sad.? Some gave me heart
tugs when little kids said all they want for Christmas is to have their daddy
come home.? Some children gave their father's tag numbers and asked a soldier if
he saw their father, would he tell him his child loves him.
?
My goal this year was to ship over 1,500 cards and
letters.? You can see by the amount of cards and letters that came in, my dream
has come true.?
?
To those who wrote articles in newspapers, thank
you.? THE? BLOUNT BANNER in Oneonta, Alabama.......you did a
beautiful job of helping getting the word out.? Many cards and letters came in
from your area.
?
A very special thanks to NBC network, Fox
network, and radio station 101.1 (THE SOURCE) ? in Birmingham,
Alabama? who helped make this dream possible.
This Christmas, our troops will see the hearts of
American's and know that their country supports them.? I am proud of all of you
who helped me.
