Rainbow Bridge, A Special Report On A Hero

Tink and Poo, and Gang

tinkerpoo2000@yahoo.com

To days report is going to be a special one about a hero. A true friend to our kind. A human hero. Jeff Boudreau.

Jeff came this way the other day with a army, a army of our kind, dogs and cats. You see Jeff was the head of the? Shelter? at Hattiesburg, Mississippi. ? All that could be transported out of the path of the storm was. But means of transport just ran out. This man never thought of his self. He stayed with the ones left behind, tried to ride out the storm. His body was found with more then 30 that would not leave his side.?

Jeff went above the call of duty to our kind, gave his life to try as best he could, in an over powering storm. To give our kind any aid he could.

There is few like him in this world, he could have ran and saved his self, but no he stayed, trying to get out kind to some safety... A true hero.

We understand the shelter will in time be rebuilt.?  We would like to see the name changed. We understand that our friends at PETCO Foundation will play a good part in the rebuilding. May we say one thing.?  We took a vote here, and this idea won out. Well by 100 to 0.?  Our idea is to change the name of the shelter to..

The Jeff Boudreau Animal Shelter. In memory of a good man.

ACTS OF KINDNESS

By: Joseph J. Mazzella

? ? ? ?  I can remember several years ago a wonderful, November morning at my son??™s elementary school. I had just taken him into the special education room where he started each morning. The teacher and aides were talking about how much my son and the other students had enjoyed some chocolate donuts that they had been given for a snack the week before. I chatted with them for a few minutes and left. As I walked though the parking lot, however, a wonderful, kind thought came into my mind. I always try to follow such thoughts too, because I learned long ago that any thought full of love and kindness usually comes right from God.

? ? ? ?  Wrapping my winter coat around me then I headed straight for the local grocery store and bought two boxes of donuts, one for my son and his friends and the other for the teacher and aides that always took care of them with so much love, kindness, and compassion. Hurrying back I was able to deliver my simple gift before the start of school. The smiles on the faces I saw paid me back a hundred times over and I walked out smiling myself with a warmer heart and a lighter soul. I had paid little in the way of time or money, but that God inspired act of kindness had purchased more joy, goodness, and delight than I could have ever dreamed possible.

? ? ? ?  A little act of kindness goes a long way towards making this world a better place. Each kind thing we do connects us to the hearts, souls, and lives of those around us. Each kind word we say and kind thought we think brings us closer to love, closer to each other, and most importantly closer to God. Kindness always ripples out as well and travels from person to person until it circles the world and returns home to the heart that first shared it. May you always fill your life with kindness then. May all your days be full of loving thoughts, joyous feelings, and kind acts. May you always make the world a kinder place just by being in it.

Dear Carol:

By Leona Ebling

A poet, a writer, an artist of kind

In you my dear friend is what we all find

It may be in stories one day short and sweet

the next may be longer ones that are real hard to beat

Then poetry that paints a picture so true

Well Carol I open each one and hold my breath as I do

For I am never disappointed or let down as I read

It brightens my day. Yes it does indeed!

So from 1 to 10 on the scale with? the high number the top

A ten is the one where I have to stop

For a "thumbs-up" is the approval I come up with for you

God bless you dear Carol, this tribute poem is very true.

Still praising our dear Lord because I am able to? continue on? "Dancing with Life."

He will forever listen

Janice Finley

He will forever listen

In Your unspeakable glory

in Your highest heaven

where seraphs and saints

cry out with joy

"Holy! Holy! Holy!"

before Your throne unceasingly,

You turn Your face toward me

and graciously incline

Your ever-listening ear.

Because You love me,

You take care to hear

both when I'm full of faith

and when I'm full of fear.

You answer my seeking heart's

every cry in tender terms

of eternal endearment.
