? ? ? ? ? ? ?  DIVORCE *

? ? ? ? ? ? ?  Norma Liles

As a child, I was very close to my family being raised in a christian atmosphere

where marriage and family and morals was a high priority. My parents were

excellent role models which I respect more and more as I get older.

At the time that I speak we, eleven us to be exact including my parents, lived in

a small village which afforded us many tools for my parents to support our needs

and whatever comforts they could afford. Times were tough but we didn't know it

as my Dad always raised a big garden & Mother preserved the bounty as well as

the fresh produce which is bountiful in our area during the peak growing season

of Ohio. We were blessed with a lot more than others in our own standing as I do

not ever remember being hungry or cold.

As I grew a little older, we moved closer to the city. I found life to be so different

than what I had been used to. I met a girl next door to our new home.

After we got better acquainted, she informed me that her Mom had a new boyfriend.

I was shocked because I just assumed that her Mom was a married lady. She

informed me that her parents had gotten a

divorce and that she rarely saw her Dad. That was a new awakening to me as

I had never heard the word used before much less knowing someone that was a

part of such a thing.

As the years passed, I grew into a young lady and I fell in love with the man that

was to be my new husband. As you know, love is blind and in my immaturity, I

did not take the time to see the forest for the trees. There were tale tell signs as

I look back but I ignored them thinking that tomorrow would be a better day.

In time, we had a darling little girl but as sweet as she was, she became a party to

a dysfunctional home. I regret my haste now as this did not lead to a very happy

life for her so I found it necessary to follow the path of my friend's Mother,

to get a divorce. There was not another man in the picture for me but

my soon to be ex-husband had a love that I could not surmount, the bottle. Yet

today, he still holds a special place in my heart; a man who was physically abused

as a child who did not deal well with his upbringing.

In later years, I became friends with a young neighbor girl who attended my church,

too. She became very upset with the pastor when he preached on not being unequally

yoked together. I assured her that he was right in his theory as our Bible tells us: "Do

not be unequally yoked together" This is where I had crossed the line as when I married,

I was a christian but my new husband was not. It was my prayer that this young lady

take heed to the pastor's message which came from our Lord's Word.

"Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers for what fellowship hath

righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?"

COLORS OF HEAVEN

By: Joseph J. Mazzella

? ? ? ?  The leaves are at their peak here in the mountains of my home. That means that every single tree is a gift from Heaven. The forested mountains are awash in wondrous colors shimmering in the sunshine. I took a long walk this evening just to take in their beauty. There were trees full of flaming red leaves. The were trees full of glowing orange ones. Some trees were shining in beautiful gold and bright yellow. Some trees were overflowing in rich burgundy and warm crimson. Even while some wild flowers were still blooming in the ground it seemed that every single leaf had become a flower as well. I had never seen the world more beautiful and I remember thinking that this must be a glimpse of what Heaven must look like all the time. I walked back home thanking God over and over for the glorious beauty of Autumn??™s leaves.

? ? ? ?  Even at their peak, however, Autumn leaves still have nothing on us. I have seen human souls so full of the color of love that they light up the lives of everyone they meet. I have seen human souls so full of the color of joy that they bring the beauty of an Autumn forest to every single day of their lives. I have seen human souls so full of oneness with God that they brighten the world around them with the colors of Heaven.

? ? ? ?  The great thing too is that each one of us can live as these souls do. Each one of us can be full of love, joy, and oneness with God every single days of our lives. Each one of us can be like a glorious Autumn that never ends and forever share our true colors with everyone everywhere. Each one of us can make this world a better, brighter, and more beautiful place just by being in it. The Choice is ours to make. I hope that you choose wisely then and make your own life one that is full of the colors of Heaven.

The Words of King Lemuel

Joyce C.Lock

The prophecy that his mother taught him.

Proverbs 31:1, 10-31

? ? ?  Who can find a virtuous woman?

A virtuous woman is a crown to her husband.?  Pr. 12:4

? ? ?  Her price is far above rubies.

For wisdom is better than rubies; and all the things that may be desired are not to be compared to it.?  Pr. 8:11

? ? ?  The heart of her husband doth safely trust in her, so that he shall have no need of spoil.

Better it is to be of an humble spirit with the lowly, than to divide the spoil with the proud.?  Pr. 16:19

Those members of the body, which we think to be less honourable, upon these we bestow more abundant honour; and our uncomely parts have more abundant comeliness.?  For our comely parts have no need: but God hath tempered the body together, having given more abundant honour to that part which lacked: That there should be no schism in the body; but that the members should have the same care one for another.?  1
Co. 12:22-25

? ? ?  She will do him good and not evil all the days of her life.

For God giveth to a man that is good in his sight wisdom, and knowledge, and joy: but to the sinner he giveth travail, to gather and to heap up, that he may give to him that is good before God.? ?  Ec. 2:26

? ? ?  She seeketh wool,

He giveth snow like wool: he scattereth the hoar frost like ashes.?  Ps. 147:16?  (Heavenly Sandpaper)

? ? ?  and flax,

The cords that were upon his arms became as flax that was burnt with fire, and his bands loosed from off his hands.?  Judges 15:1 (God's Rubber Bands)

? ? ?  and worketh willingly with her hands.

How beautiful are thy feet with shoes, O prince's daughter! the joints of thy thighs are like jewels, the work of the hands of a cunning workman.?  Song 7:1

? ? ?  She is like the merchants' ships; she bringeth her food from afar.

Now he that ministereth seed to the sower both minister bread for your food, and multiply your seed sown, and increase the fruits of your righteousness.?  2
Co. 9:10

? ? ?  She riseth also while it is yet night,

With my soul have I desired thee in the night; yea, with my spirit within me will I seek thee early: for when thy judgments are in the earth, the inhabitants of the world will learn righteousness.?  Is. 26:9

? ? ?  and giveth meat to her household,

... meat which endureth unto everlasting life.?  John
6:27

? ? ?  and a portion to her maidens.

Whatsoever mine eyes desired I kept not from them, I withheld not my heart from any joy; for my heart rejoiced in all my labour: and this was my portion of all my labour.?  Ec. 2:10

? ? ?  She considereth a field,

The field is the world; the good seed are the children of the kingdom.? ?  Mt.13:38

? ? ?  and buyeth it:

The kingdom of heaven is like unto treasure hid in a field; the which when a man hath found, he hideth, and for joy thereof goeth and selleth all that he hath, and buyeth that field.?  Mt. 13:44

? ? ?  with the fruit of her hands

Be not afraid, ye beasts of the field: for the pastures of the wilderness do spring, for the tree beareth her fruit, the fig tree and the vine do yield their strength.?  Joel
2:22

? ? ?  she planteth a vineyard.

For the vineyard of the Lord of hosts is the house of
Israel, and the men of Judah his pleasant plant.?  Is. 5:7

? ? ?  She girdeth her loins with strength, and strengtheneth her arms.

The Lord is my strength and song, and he is become my salvation: he is my God, and I will prepare him an habitation; my father's God, and I will exalt him.?  Ex. 15:2

? ? ?  She perceiveth that her merchandise is good:

And her merchandise and her hire shall be holiness to the Lord: it shall not be treasured nor laid up; for her merchandise shall be for them that dwell before the Lord, to eat sufficiently, and for durable clothing.?  Is.
23:18

? ? ?  her candle goeth not out by night.

If thy whole body therefore be full of light, having no part dark, the whole shall be full of light, as when the bright shining of a candle doth give thee light.?  Luke 11:36

? ? ?  She layeth her hands to the spindle, and her hands hold the distaff.

Neglect not the gift that is in thee, which was given thee by prophecy, with the laying on of the hands of the presbytery.?  1 Ti.
4:14

? ? ?  She stretcheth out her hand to the poor;

Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.?  Mt. 5:3

As the cold of snow in the time of harvest, so is a faithful messenger to them that send him: for he refresheth the soul of his masters.?  Pr. 25:13

? ? ?  for all her household are clothed with scarlet.

Thy lips like a thread of scarlet (thy speech comely).?  Song 4:3

? ? ?  She maketh herself coverings of tapestry;

I have decked my bed with coverings of tapestry, with carved works, with fine linen of
Egypt.?  Pr. 7:16

? ? ?  her clothing is silk and purple.

Strength and honour are her clothing; and she shall rejoice in time to come.?  Pr. 31:25

? ? ?  Her husband is known in the gates,

But if any man love God, the same is known of him.?  1
Co. 8:3

? ? ?  when he sitteth among the elders of the land.

For whether is greater, he that sitteth at meat, or he that serveth??  is not he that sitteth at meat??  but I am among you as he that serveth.?  Luke 22:27

? ? ?  She maketh fine linen,

Fine linen is the righteousness of saints.?  Re. 19:8

? ? ?  and selleth it;

Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto treasure hid in a field; the which when a man hath found, he hideth, and for joy thereof goeth and selleth all that he hath, and buyeth that field.?  Mt.
13:44

? ? ?  and delivereth girdles unto the merchant.

For as the girdle cleaveth to the loins of a man, so have I caused to cleave unto me the whole house of Israel and the whole house of Judah, saith the Lord; that they might be unto me for a people, and for a name, and for a praise, and for a glory.?  Jer.
13:11

? ? ?  Strength and honour are her clothing;

Glory and honour are in his presence; strength and gladness are in his place. 1 Ch. 16:27

? ? ?  and she shall rejoice in time to come.

Them that trust in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy; That do good, that be rich in good works, ready to distribute, willing to communicate; Lay up in store for themselves a good foundation against the time to come, that they may lay hold on eternal life.?  1 Ti.
6:17-19

Be not rash with thy mouth, and let not thine heart be hasty to utter any thing before God: for God is in heaven, and thou upon earth: therefore let thy words be few.?  Ec. 5:2

? ? ?  and in her tongue is the law of kindness.

The Lord God hath given me the tongue of the learned, that I should know how to speak a word in season to him that is weary: he wakeneth morning by morning, he wakeneth mine ear to hear as the learned.?  Is. 50:4

? ? ?  She looketh well to the ways of her household,

Who is she that looketh forth as the morning, fair as the moon, clear as the sun, and terrible as an army with banners??  Song
6:10

In that day seven women shall take hold of one man, saying, We will eat our own bread, and wear our own apparel: only let us be called by thy name, to take away our reproach.?  Is. 4:1

? ? ?  Her children arise up, and call her blessed; her husband also,

Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted.

Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth.

Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.

Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy.

Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God.

Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.

? ? ?  ... a woman that feareth the Lord, she shall be praised.

For the seed shall be prosperous; the vine shall give her fruit, and the ground shall give her increase, and the heavens shall give their dew; and I will cause the remnant of this people to possess all these things.?  Ze.
8:12

? ? ?  and let her own works praise her in the gates.

Wherefore I perceive that there is nothing better, than that a man should rejoice in his own works; for that is his portion.?  Ec. 3:22

Prayer Requests and Updates

Hi everyone... well today's scare was completely unnecessary.?  According to the doctor, it's very common after chemo for the blood count to jump higher than usual and it's too soon to think the leukemia isn't in remission.?  Are you all ready for this???????  Nikki just got off the phone with me crying her eyes out... she said,?  "Mom,?  I get to come home at the end of the week for a two week break before I have to go through the chemo again!"? ?  She was crying so hard I could barily understand her, but she gets the break they were hoping for.?  David and Sierra was with her and I could hear David crying in the background too.?  God has worked a miracle to have carried that child this far, and I'm praying her next steps will go better than this one did.?  She will have the next chemo in about three weeks and the transplant to take place after that.?  She was saying when she got home that she wanted David sleeping on one side of her and Sierra on the other side... She wanted to be enclosed by their bodies during the time of this break.?  David's boss, who has been so kind and understanding throughout this whole ordeal is giving him the two days off work to stay home with her.? ?  After that, Nikki will be spending time with her family and our family until she has to go back.?  God bless everyone of you with so much love, Al
