spreading love and cultural awareness around the world. ? Today??™s Announcements A big happy birthday goes out to our
writers Janice Finley, from And now onto the good stuff! Today??™s Queue Stories ~**~**~ ? Learning
Knowledge ~ ? Joyce C. Lock
Other's fear of not standing before God
'perfect', or confidence in? their own capabilities
brought them to study to know facts about God instead of 'knowing
God'. ? There is a way that seemeth right unto man, but the end
thereof is destruction.? Studying with man's wisdom, not the wisdom that
comes from God only (lean not to thine own understanding) ... such dead works
will pass away.
? Desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his
will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; That ye might walk worthy of
the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing
in the knowledge of God; Strengthened with all might (in the inner man),
according to his glorious power, unto all patience and longsuffering with
joyfulness. ? ? To learn knowledge from God is far superior
to man's teachings. Come to God in full confidence and faith as
a child.? Trade your knowledge for His.? His
ways are higher than ours.? And, not all the works of Jesus were
written.
John 6:45 ? ? The fear of the LORD is the beginning of
knowledge ... ? ? ? ? When we give our full heart, soul, and
mind to love God, whatever His next step of instruction may be ... we begin to
learn in depths what God is really like, what He intended in His written word,
how to live in the world without being like it, and how to overcome the storms
of life.? The more we choose to love God supremely, the more He reveals
Himself to us.? He'll walk with us, talk with us, guide us in comparing
scripture - leading us to His desire for whatever we're seeking, the words come
to life and speak to our hearts, and we realize that God isn't dead! ? He
still walks and talks with His own, stays by our side, holds us in the palm if
His hand, and loves us in all the ways He loved the people of old!? And
with a love like that, we are no longer captive to doctrines planted by Satan.
________________________________________________ ? Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and
with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.? This is the first and great
commandment.? And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbor
as thyself. ? On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.
? Honor the Lord with thy substance (Use whatever God
teaches you to help others in like situations.), and with the firstfruits of
all thine increase (As your seed multiplies, continue to give the glory to
God.): So shall thy barns (soul, family, church) be filled with plenty
(whatever you have need of), and thy presses shall burst out with new wine (new
tongues - Mk.16:17). ? My son, attend to my words (God will let you know which
verses apply to the need of your heart); incline thine ear unto my sayings
(whatever He reveals to you).? Let not them depart from thine eyes (When
God gives you a promise; stick it on your refrigerator, tack it to your
dashboard, don't let Satan rob you with doubts.? Don't forget it until God
brings it to pass.? He is faithful.): keep sound wisdom (Satan wouldn't
ask you to do something good? and God wouldn't ask you to do something that
isn't love.) and discretion (The discretion of a man deferreth his anger; and
it is his glory to pass over a transgression.): So shall they be life unto thy
soul, and grace to thy neck.? Then shalt thou walk in thy way safely, and
thy foot shall not stumble. ? When thou liest down, thou shalt not be afraid: yea, thou
shalt lie down, and thy sleep shall be sweet.? Be not afraid of sudden
fear, neither of the desolation of the wicked, when it cometh (Seeing it is a
righteous thing with God to recompense tribulation to them that trouble
you.)? For the Lord shall be thy confidence, and shall keep thy foot from
being taken.
? They shall ask the way to Zion with their faces
thitherward, saying, Come, and let us join ourselves to the Lord in a perpetual
covenant that shall not be forgotten.? My people hath been lost sheep:
their shepherds have caused them to go astray, they have turned them away on
the mountains: they have gone from mountain to hill, they have forgotten their
restingplace.? All that found them have devoured them: and their
adversaries said, We offend not, because they have sinned against the Lord, the
habitation of justice, even the Lord, the hope of their fathers.
________________________________________________ ? Also, thou son of man, the children of thy people still
are talking against thee by the walls and in the doors of the houses, and speak
one to another, every one to his brother, saying, Come, I pray you, and hear
what is the word that cometh forth from the Lord.? And they come unto thee
as the people cometh, and they sit before thee as my people, and they hear thy
words, but they will not do them: for with their mouth they shew much love, but
their heart goeth after their covetousness.? And, lo, thou art unto them
as a very lovely song of one that hath a pleasant voice, and can play well on
an instrument: for they hear thy words, but they do them not.? And when
this cometh to pass, (lo, it will come,) then shall they know that a prophet
hath been among them.? Ez. 33:30-33 ? ? ? ?© by Joyce C.
Lock? ~**~**~ Poetry Section ~**~**~ Please Dianna Doles Petry ? Let me think you want to hold
me, Let me think that I can still
please, Let me linger in the moments
of yesterday, When I was so eager to tease, Please! ? Let me feel your lips press
against mine, Let me see just a spark in
your eyes, Let me wallow in the warmth of
your arms, And pretend I never heard your
lies, Please! ? Let me become aroused at your
touch, Let me enjoy the passion that
I want to feel, Let me bask in the comfort of
being loved, That I felt when I was sure
your love was real, Please! ? Please explain to me why you
hurt me, When I offered you my heart,
my body, my very soul, When all you had to do was
talk to me, Please tell me how things got
out of control! Please! ? Let me enjoy this one last
interlude with you, Let me send you away with a
wonderful memory, Let me love away the tears we
are both crying, Let me hear your heart instead
of "Please forgive me." ? Dianna Doles Petry ?©01/2006 dianna59@charter.net ~**~**~ Memory's Flame Dianna Doles Petry ? At times your? memory burns me like a flame, I can barely stand to even hear your name, I can't stop the thoughts that melt my heart in two, How can I? put out the flame when I'm still in love
with you? ? The good times we shared live on? in my mind, The more I try to forget, the more memories I find, I can't seem to forget the way you touched my heart, I want to move on but I can't find a way to start. ? Your memory is like a wild brush fire, I? bask in the heat until my body starts to tire, I close my eyes and float back to a? cold dark night, I know? that I can't have you, this just isn't right. ? At times your memory burns me like a flame, You taught me how to? play a lovers game, Then you walked away and left me? drowning in desire, I wish it would rain and put out this deadly fire. ? Nights filled with lovemaking, days filled with smiles, Telephone conversations that shortened all the miles, I still think I smell the scent of your cologne, Why did you leave me here? I feel so all alone! ? Your memory burns at my soul tonight, I wish I had the strength to put up a fight, Instead of lying here in loneliness as I moan, I miss you and I can't stop staring at the phone. ? At times your memory burns me like a flame, A flame of passion and regret that leaves me lame, Do you ever wonder what life might have been? If you and I had met and started a life way back then? ?
