I am Having a “Time”

Sharlett Hunt

I decided to make this a story of things that have been happening in my life lately.  Thanks for reading it.  Love and many hugs and blessings, Sharlett

So many good things have happened since I have been here.  I raised "Cain" as Don and Betty would have me to do with the cable company yesterday.  I was a little upset with the cable guy (looked Asian, seemed nice, but I truly believe he couldn't understand English)  Anyway, he hooked up my cable, supposedly.  I told him I had called Friday and they told me they would hook up both TV's and the new Road Runner for my puter.  He connected the TV in the bedroom and did do the RR to the computer, but walked right by the beautiful television (given to me by my angels, Don and Betty) I have in my brand new living room ( that is in a horrible mess, right now, by the way)  so I was upset when I discovered I couldn't have television in the living room.  I am so petty.  I need to ask God to forgive me for being so superficial.  Any who, the guy, Tony who came today, hooked up the Computer for me and the lovely console that I cherish, so I didn't even have to get Billy, my computer genius friend, he is so busy right now, anyway, so I know he's happy not to have to come over here.

Nelson had to listen to me cry this morning. Nothing was going right.  I was trying to take control again.   I was beginning to think I had made a big mistake.  I miss my daddy and Verizon can't seem to get this phone turned on here.  My phone service has been on since Monday, Art's phone over there (he bought my  prior mobile home)   is working since Monday.  I have been on this little cell phone that was given to me by a friend on the bus and it is out of minutes from calling cable and doggone Verizon.  Then I listen to the birds and my windows are open and I can breathe fresh air as I type and it is all worth it.

Oh goodness, got to tell you, my dining table is one I have never seen before.  I can't wait for you to see it!  It all folds up, along with four chairs, into a buffet type table, amazing, and old, I have never seen one like this.  It unfolds into a very long and wide rectangular table.  It is outstandingly pretty and in good shape.  I know it has to be old.  So many good things here.

I look at the lake and wish I could ever get done with all this unpacking and repairing so Precious and I can go enjoy the lake.  So quiet here, you can here a pin drop.  Lovely.  I can't wait to see you and it will be soon.  I am hurrying trying to unpack and little Precious is trying so hard to help.  You should have seen her this morning.  Lots of those cowbirds were walking by the window and she was ready to attack.. I knew she was daydreaming about just playing with a few of those birds and her tail was wagging and a smile was on her face.  She amazes me!  What a cat!  She had gotten a couple of her balls out of her toybox to play with  (yes, she does that, actually, they're in her bed she won't sleep in, that's her toy container)  Anyway, I decided to just roll the ball to her.  Then I said, " Give mama the ball.  She rolled it back to me.  If she had only done it one time, I would say it was a coincidence, but she did this several times, every time I would kick the ball to her with my foot or hand, she would roll it back.  Amazing cat!  She finally started playing with it by herself.  I am still astounded though.  She's happy here.  I am taking her to have her nails clipped and coat brushed tomorrow at S. Florida Ave near Publix, they do cat grooming.  That will be our day to just get away from here, on the bus.  Sweetie is happy also.  I found out she is a female.  But she sings much more beautifully than the Sweetie who died.  She's out in the screen room and neighbor has already commented on how beautiful she sounds and told me about a rainbow parakeet, but I never heard of them.  He's nice.  There is nobody on the other side of me.  Though Wanda said it had been sold.

It's still "Little Pink Houses all in a Row, as a song from the sixties goes.  It's sort of my little Heaven on Earth, I believe.  After living in the environment I lived in for the past four years, I hear harps playing here.  Environmentally speaking, it wasn't a safe atmosphere for myself or my pets.  It was on an industrial highway where clean air is never mentioned by the agencies because nobody complains.  Not to mention the deafening noise  (my hearing is impaired as a result), the black film that seemed to appear on everything every couple days,  there is a pit bull dog who was moved in next door and I was so afraid my little cat would get out and be accosted as she was twice in the past, in the other trailer park.  My little self appointed princess has a screen room to look out and see all the excitement. I hear her little bell jingling and it is all good.  Cunning as she is, she tells me she knows when I am writing about her.

When I get quiet, I can feel God.  He is why I am here but that is another story, one which I will write.  It is a story of miracles and wonderment.  I am here, this minute, where I always wanted to be.  Maybe tomorrow I will be somewhere else.  I don't really think it has anything to do with my location.
