The Key of D as in Dementia

Shades of night descending...twilight comes before thee.
Then night comes, the candle light flickers and is gone.
You are alone in the room of darkness, knowing not,
seeing not, feeling not.
 
You have neither the inclination to ask why or the
wits to wonder why.  You sit and stare... at what?
We wonder, you wonder.
 
The memories held so dear, so precious to you
are torn away from you one at a time, until at one
point, there is nothing left...
 
God has taken them and put the memories in your
Heavenly spirit waiting for you.  When that day
comes, the light will be bright, the knowing will
be restored and life will be eternal.
Be well my mother, be well.
